I've bought this keyboard cover for the sole purpose of keeping my keyboard from wear and tear, and free of dust or rubbish from getting into my new ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH71 laptop. Because there are no other keyboard covers out there for the model of this computer, I had to resort to this product. I've been using this cover for about 5 months and 2 weeks. Here is my pros and cons...Pro:- It fits my computerI worried that the case would not fit my computer, but after I've put it over my keyboard, the keys fit exactly in place. Again, I use this product with ASUS ROG GL552VW-DH71 15 inch gaming laptop. This may or may not fit your device, so please double check the key order on the product image or better yet, ask.- It keeps the oils from your fingers from getting onto the base keyboard.Like I said, my sole purpose is to keep the base keyboard from wearing down. I luse hand lotion a lot due to dry skin, and I worry that the oils from my lotion is going to tear down the matte feeling of the base keyboard. This case had prevented it from happening.- It kept dust and small particles, crumbs, and hair out.I tend to snack around a lot around my computer, during use. I can't say how many times this case had prevented food and other small particles from getting into the computer, where it may be difficult to clean.- Typing or pressing the keys do not require extra pressure or tire out your fingers.This is my second time using a keyboard cover. The first one I bought was for a different computer and my first cover that I used made it difficult for me to type as I hate to mash my keys, and it often tired out my hands from typing. This cover is really soft, and pressing the keys require little to no extra effort upon typing.Cons:- Does not cover all the way to the trackpad area.I know all keyboard covers that I've looked into wont cover all the way to your trackpad area, but it would be nice to have that feature. My computer likes to attract all sorts of oils and fingerprints around the trackpad. Because of this, I had to make my own extra cover around the trackpad to keep the oils and fingermarks off. I do not use the trackpad, so covering it wouldn't be an issue for me.- Some of the keys are wrong / missing extra info.Because my computer comes with a lit keyboard (fn + F4 & F5), it didn't include the keyboard light symbol on those keys. The on/off button on my computer is replaced with a key labelled "End" on the cover. These issues don't bother me anymore because I've gotten used to turning on my laptop. My first few times, I thought end is actually go to the end of a sentence when I'm correcting or typing, so I accidentally turned off my computer.- Moves around during use if you sit next to a fan or in a windy room.Because of this, I had to tape down the cover to my computer and change the tape when necessary to keep it in place.- Traps heat / condensates and moisture on the back side.Because this is a gaming laptop that I'm using, I play some heavy rendering games on it, and I also use it to render video, or heavy photoshop usage. After each heavy use, I need to remove the cover for a bit to keep the condensated water from going into my computer.- smears oils onto your laptop monitor when you close it with the cover on your keyboard.This happens to me every time I shut down my computer to take it on the go. I have to cut a piece of fabric or use paper to cover the case that's sitting on top of my keyboard to prevent the oils from smearing onto to monitor.Wear and Tear:As I've stated above, I've been using this cover for 5 and half months. The color on my cover had started to fade to clear, andTLDRAll in all, it works if you want to protect your keyboard from the oils on your hands or keep particles and dust from entering into your keyboard, but given there were so many annoyance in using it (more cons over pros), I rate it 3 stars. I wish there were more covers out there choose, but given this is the only one for my model, I guess I'm happy with it somehow. It just reminds me to upkeep my computer more often.

I get so many compliments on this I've almost stopped reacting to them! It's a really fun keyboard protector and it fits perfectly.My only issue is that the back part is a magnet for dust if you take it off to clean the top and it's a little hard to get the dust off the back once it's on there.Otherwise it stays in place really well and is very sturdy. I'm a nursing student so you know I'm hitting the books hard! The colors to this day have stayed true and it shows zero signs of wear or tear (except where my cat tore it with her nail).If I needed another one I would buy the same!

Love how it fits. Love how it works with the keyboard. Love how it keeps water out.BUT.I bought my laptop for the keyboard, along with other features. The keyboard feels like you have to really work at it to make it work now, unlike how it is without this cover.It came sort of dirty, and no matter how much I try to wash it or clean it, they won't go away. So, lost a point for that.When there are no liquid near me, I just take it off, because the keyboard is superior to when I have this cover on. But, overall, it's ok. The space bar has a big gap that I can't get rid of, which will let liquid in. But I think I can use hairdryer to fix it.Overall, three stars for good coverage, and fit, but could be better.

Covers the keys perfectly and prevents crumbs and liquid from doing nasty things to my new K501U laptop. The black and clear looks just like the original - bright colors just didn't fit with my tender senior eyes, although rainbow flags are nice elsewhere. The only con so far after a month is where my thumb rest and presses the space-bar and right alt keys the cover is beginning to stretch a little leaving a small gap in that area. Not a serious problem so far but if it worsens may let junk under. Also the cover does stiffen the key touch and sometimes I miss a keystroke - and I have heavy fingers. So overall a really great product to protect an expensive toy.

Product arrived on time and in good condition.Fits the keyboard of my ASUS X540SA like a glove. Make sure your keyboard is debris free before placing the cover over it. I had some small crumbs on a couple keys and could feel them under the silicon.The cover is very light and flexible. My keyboard has a “dip” that extends to about ½” around it and the cover extends to just past this area, so there’s not a big worry about things slipping under it. Typing is also very easy and I don’t feel like my fingers are getting “stuck” on the keys as with some silicon covers I’ve used in the past. It also doesn’t stick to or leave marks on the screen, another thing I have seen with other covers.The button all match up except for the power button. My is the top right-corner button on the keyboard (not in a separate spot as with my K52DE). On the cover, this is marked as the “END” button. Easy enough to remember to hit “END” to turn my computer on, and all other buttons are matches so it’s not that big of a deal.We will see how it holds up over time, but I have high hopes. Will post pictures when I have the chance.

I see a lot of complaints about the icons and shift/alt/ctrl etc not matching up. So because of that I ordered the cloudy-clear one and it fits my ASUS Rog 15.6" great; its fine with typing, it does stay on and secured but I can also take it off just as easily with no issue. My place is dusty and there's only a small amount of dust on it, also it lies flat along the edges and after weeks of use it doesn't bubble up. The keyboard cover does tends to subtly "grab" your fingers while typing (as another user said), but I've experienced that with all previous skins I've used and its just a mild irritation.If you don't care about coloring and having stuff inked on the skin, then I recommend it.
