Gold Medal Virgin Expanded Polystyrene Bean Bag Refill, 5 Cubic Feet of Refill

So my pups have been on bean bags since the day we brought them into our house. But after 2 years, the bag needed some serious cleaning. SO in ordered to do it correctly an WITHOUT a big mess. I took the old one outside and dumped them into a lined garbage can, then I turn my bean bag inside out and took my car vacuum to then inside of the bean bag. Then I washed the bean bag twice. The 1st time with vinegar the 2nd with my homemade laundry soap. It smells amazing. So in order to fill the bean bag, again, WITHOUT making a mess. I sat on a foot stool and used my plastic 4 c. measuring cup to refill the bean bag with the filling. Each time I dropped a few, I stopped to pick them up. Other than washing and drying time, it took me about 1 &1/2 hours to dump out the old and refill with new.....

Ordered 3 of these and each was slightly under 5 cubic feet. I wrote that off to settling during shipment. The main issue I had with the product is that there was so much static that it is nearly impossible to work with. It clings to be everything, the bags are large and pouring is difficult, especially into the small opening of the liners I have. Let's just say it was a gigantic mess. But learn from my mistakes: get a can of static guard and a small bucket before attempting to fill your bean bag. Use the static guard by spraying liberally on any and everything this stuff touches, including your hands. This project was nearly impossible without it.

I really enjoyed this product when it was $27 in January 2021, but now, in March the price is $59.95. I am unwilling to buy at this higher price.

So, to be clear the product is good. The money value is not. If you have a bin that cost you $60-100, then this product is for you. I bought my bin bag in Walmart and it cost me $20. I thought that this refill bag will fill 2 bin bags like mine. I was wrong. Only half of my bin back. So, basically l spent more on refill than on actual bin back.

My 4 year old son has a Big Joe green dorm chair which he absolutely loves. Recently it's been more a flat mushy mess than a chair so I looked into getting refill beans for it. This not only did the trick, but I still have half the bag to do it again when it needs it. Just be warned, they are very static heavy so be prepared to have them more likely to stick to everything instead of going into the item you're trying to fill. I don't have dryer sheets so I couldn't try the trick one reviewer mentioned, though my son turned the clean up into a game so it wasn't too annoying.

I read the reviews on many bean products. They all had awful reviews, so i just settled on this product because it came with the most beans.people say it does not come with 5 Cubic meters: i say it absolutely does. i was able to fill my whole bean bag with just one bag. (the bean bag is 30" x 10")the beans were bigger then i expected but it works perfectly fine!and best of all...THERE IS NO STATIC!although it takes 3 people to spill it into the bean bag to avoid making a mess since it's a HUGE bag!I highly recommend it

My son's bean bag is a 4 XL according to charts I found online with the measurements. All the charts seemed to have the same measurements and recommendations for refills so I felt comfortable in ordering a quantity of 2 5 cubic foot bag of beans. NO.... only 1 bag of 5 CF is needed for a refill. I almost bought 3 but thought since it was a refill, not a new fill I would only need 2. Again....this only needed 1 bag of 5 CF. This item for whatever reason is NOT RETURNABLE? You'll see my 2nd bag on Craigslist real soon - it's the size of another bean bag! This listing should include a measurement/recommendation chart!

Just what I needed to refill my old beanbag chair!I used a 4-cup plastic measuring cup to scoop the beans and transfer them to my chair. No static cling! Not sure how that works but it made my day, the beans didn’t stick or fly around and make a mess.As shown in the photo, the original beans were about 1/8th of an inch in diameter, these beans are about 3/8ths and provide a much better seating area. Would definitely buy them again.
