Super easy and quick to use. Very affordable. Have had our first one for over 5 years and it’s still going strong. We misplaced our original and bought a different brand of similar model, but it wasn’t as easy to use and seemed erratic in measurements. So we ordered another one like our original. A few months later we found the original and now we have one for home and one for travel. We bought a third one recently so we have a backup if and when the original one goes out.

First of all, the product didn't feel like a toy and that's a very important point.It arrived in excellent condition. The packaging is beautiful. The product was new and had no visible signs of damage.It came with a manual. (You'd be surprised how many items ship without one). So, I'm happy about this point.I tested it. It works. I haven't tested how accurate it is yet. (and I haven't read the manual yet either). I'll do both very soon.It's loud! I turned it on and the loud beep surprised me. But I like that the sound can be turned off.Measures room, body and surface temperatures. it gives you a "low warning beep" with "lo" on the Lcd display if you set to body but don't point it at one. I suppose that means that it would alert me if body temperature were abnormally low. I suppose it would warn me if the temperature was too high too. I like that. I really like that.The thermometer came prepacked with two size AA batteries so I got to use it right out of the box. That's quite considerate.I have given this product a 4-star rating because I haven't put it to real use yet. When I do, and if I find it satisfactory, I'll come back to review the rating.

I purchased this, not for a child, but for my 90 year old mother who refused to put even a digital thermometer under her tongue to get an accurate reading. As a retired RN, I'm aware that a feaver is as critical in the elderly as in babies. I've had it less than a week and it works like a charm. I tried it on myself first and got what I would consider an accurate temperature in a normal person, 97.8. I then used it on my mother and she had a feaver of 100.4. When I questioned her, she admitted to not feeling well. She doesn't offer information, you have to pry it out of her. Being as it doesn't require the "patient's cooperation" I can keep track of her temperature frequently and even when she is asleep. The only drawback that I have found is that the skin MUST be dry for accuracy. I'm sure this would be true with any thermometer of this type. I just mention this, because usually when a feaver breaks, the person will have profuse sweating. In that case, before you take the temperature, dry off the forehead. The ability to take the room temperature or the surface temperature of an item, is just an additional plus. There were other thermometers listed that cost considerably more. This one fit into my already strained budget, with the best feature being it's accurate. I would recommend this to anyone.

It’s legit a good thermometer. I had to calibrate it once I got it (instructions come with it, in the storage bag.). Once it was calibrated, it worked perfectly for body temperature.Room temperature is high by about 4 degrees, but surface temperatures are spot on. I followed the instructions and let it sit in the room for 20 minutes before checking. I have both a thermostat and an indoor/outdoor thermometer, so the room temperature function is not all that important to me.It comes with an instruction manual and quick start guide. I followed the directions step by step to calibrate and take accurate temperatures, and the thermometer worked perfectly. Directions are in English (in case you were wondering) and very easy to understand.You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit with one button. The entire thermometer is very user friendly.Shipping was on time.This is a neat thermometer, easy to use. It has me interested in their other products.Only 4 stars because of the room temp.Excellent for the price.Update: Room temperature is accurate now. Not sure what happened...I think it was just a fluke. Changed to 5 stars.Update 2: Two years later and it’s still perfect. I haven’t even had to change the batteries. Had to use it recently after my covid vaccines and it’s been spot on. *highly* recommend.
