I had ordered one for my iPhone 8 in 2018. Felt pretty sturdy, and it survived a whole work up and a whole deployment when I was in the Marines. Not sure if it was from long exposures to that heat, but the case was losing its hold around my phone therefore causing the phone to slip out of the case most times. I have looked it up on Google and there are forums proving that these cases do lose their grip on these phones throughout some time, so keep your eye on that. It's 2022 and my iPhone 8 is still working and operable thanks to the short lived case.

Not that it really matters. So I broke down yesterday and traded up from my iPhone 5 to a new iPhone 7. I know, iPhone 8 is nice, but I just didn’t care enough about the wireless charging to pay extra for it. I’m not really cheap, I’ll pay for quality almost every day of the week, but I aint paying for stuff I don’t need.Anyhow, needed some protection. Not that kind. Been snipped. Well I know and trust Magpul and even though I had good luck with Otterbox, I said self, let’s get it.Came with the glass cover, snaps right on and fits like it was made for the phone. Oh. Wait. It was. Disregard that last part.I saw people b*tching about excess nylon on the seams. Seriously? You can’t take 2 seconds and scrape it off with your finger nail if it’s that big a deal? Geez. Now I agree slightly that Magpul could clean the molds a little more often but for $11 I aint gonna whine. If it does it’s job I will bump up a star later. Good stuff. This is my third Magpul case and it's great. I recently upgraded to an iPhone 8 and discovered that the case for my 6 didn't work with the larger camera of the 8. I hopped online and bought an orange Magpul case for the phone. It fits great and it's protection I can trust. I've used Magpul cases for years and they have protected my phones abily from various drops and bumps. I know other users complained about fit and finish but: 1) I'm not looking for pretty and refined and 2) it's meant to be ready for use in the field, rough is to be expected. Besided, if there is a little too much material left over from the mold, you can always trim off any excess with a knife. Back when I had a Samsung Galaxy III and friend put me onto Magpul and I've been hooked ever since. I have to say the orange is a great color, IMHO. It's easy to find, contrasts well with the "space gray" phone, which normal folk call "black," and deters my kids from wanting to borrow it. (For the curious, my kids think organge is an aweful color for a phone case.) I recommend this case and am pleased with my purchase. It's a lot of protection for very little money.

Just found out that MagPul was making these for the iPhone 7 & 8’s and had to get one. Had them for my iPhone 6’s all the time. I recommend them for those that like magpul’s line of various civilian and military products, so this case was right on. Now this case in particular was made a little different than their predecessors. In the past the inside was lined with a rubbery lining - this one is bare interior but still has the rugged exterior. My phone (iPhone 8) fit perfect as expected from this product. The button actuations are easy and soft to use as expected. Volume controls are easy to use. Not much else to say other than the course exterior along with magpuls “p-mag) type ribbing to help with grip.However, I maintain a visual standard as I go along as I have read about a customer getting a case that the exterior color was rubbing off.Otherwise I recommend to all that like this case

Works wonderfully. Nice grippy texture without being too abrasive or sticky (you can put it into or take it out of a pocket easily, but won't drop it). Similar to a Pelican Protector case *except* that the front edge of this case doesn't intrude onto the screen quite as far, making it easier to move icons from one screen to another if necessary. It doesn't make your phone waterproof, nor does it protect your phone if it lands on something pointy screen first. It's not designed to do either of those things. It does protect your phone's back and sides from impact, and there is a small raised lip around the screen so you can lay it face down without worrying about scratching the screen. Thin enough to charge wirelessly without problem on each of the three wireless pads & stands I tested it on, unlike Otterbox & thicker cases. The bottom lightning port cutout is big enough for the plug to fit without having to shove it in, and the speaker ports are cut wide enough to get good volume. A great thin case! (I didn't use the included screen protector - got better one locally).

I had a Lifeproof NEXT that I paid 4 times as much for. I never much cared for the un-necessary cover for the lightening connector nor for the "buttons" for the volume up/down and the ring/silent switch button. Then, last week, I left it on the dash when i stopped for some lunch. When I came back 15 min later, the rubber bumper edge expanded and separated from the case ... not just a little, a lot! And it did not contract when the case cooled. In short, 15 min on the dashboard created a mess!A friend showed me his MAGPUL case. Fits the phone like a glove. The performance of the "buttons" is far, far superior to the Lifeproof Case. There is no cover for the lightening connector -- since it's already waterproof. And finally, the phone feels much better in your hand. The material the Magpul uses makes for a secure grip when using the phone. I think this case is not only a great value, it's the superior in performance. Don't hesitate ... go ahead and buy it and you'll be happy!

As I change my iPhone I have had a magpul case. With my new phone I purchased the fourth case and I selected magpul as I find them reliable and durable. Magpul covers have protected my phones from drops in work, drops from the roof of my moving car, do not ask all with the phone coming out with not even a scratch
