Whirlpool 31462A Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish 8 Ounce

I am not sure why I brought stainless steel if it seems to stain and have more fingerprints than any other type of appliance. The reason I am giving it a 4 though, is due to the amount of work it takes to polish and clean all the appliances, Which are fridge, dish washer, oven and microwave. Due to the amount of work it takes, and as my wife puts it, how shiny our cars are after I wash, polish and wax it, I should do the appliances too. My wife switched to some kind of stainless steel wipes, but when she wants that extra shine, she make me pull out the bottle and get to work.

Best we've found. We have SS fridge, DW, MW and stove. Shines up really nicely.That said... BEWARE. "Stainless steel" is a scam. Our LG fridge and our Kitchen Aid (Whirlpool) DW are showing signs of rust/pitting. It took a call to the CEO of Whirlpool to get the DW door replaced as they don't cover "cosmetic" issues like rust. The DW is about 9 months old. They said because we live in a salt-water and humid environment (Cape Cod... this is NOT Guam) they wouldn't cover it.Excuse me but what part of STAINLESS Steel are we not understanding. Finally the CEO's office provided a solution. We're getting a BLACK door to replace it. The service guy (who originally showed up with the wrong parts) told us that there are LOTS of problems with SS appliances rusting. If I worked for 60 Minutes this would be a great story. This is a big and growing problem (see: [...] and similar sites for a sense of this).So... this will NOT fix existing rust. It MAY help forestall the issue. But if your SS appliance has "acne" -- this is not Clearasil.

I was expecting to spray it on and wipe it off each time I saw finger prints but it actually works differently.First you Wax on/Wax off the entire appliance even the areas that are clean. If you don't do this you will have two different shines on the appliance. Once you wait for it to dry and buff it off the appliance actually looks better then original. Seems to have a better shine. Buff with the grain and it works great. Could be a 5 in a few months when I have some more time to see what happes.

We got this cleaner for our new stainless steel appliances we just got when we had to remodel our kitchen. This cleaner seems to work very well. We have used it on the faces of our dishwasher and microwave and the end shine is amazing. It looks just like new. It cuts through grease really nicely and makes the appliance shine like it did when we just got it.We also use this in our stainless steel sink.It cuts through grease and grime very easily. We end up only having to wash our sink very seldom because it cleans it so well. Even if it has beena while since w e cleaned our sink, it works very well. It cuts through any grime or anything that is in the sink that you would think you'd need to scrub. It makes things very easy to clean for sure.Pros: Cleans easily, works in the sink and on faces of stainless steel appliances, leaves the stainless steel looking as good as newCons: I haven't found a con with this yet, it just cleans too good and leaves everything looking super nice.

Love this stuff, but can't seem to find it anywhere (even on Amazon) anymore!

I have a matching stove, range hood, dishwasher and refrigerator which I had been using other products over the past two years. This product by Whirlpool is the best Polish I have ever used.I had to remove a buildup of Method brand with this product.I used the Whirlpool W10355016 16-Ounce Affresh Stainless Steel Cleaner product to remove the Method brand residue and used then used this product for the best smudge free shine on everything and the entire kitchen looks great.UPDATE TO APPLICAITON: The range hood and stove were splattered with cooking grease just after using the two Whirlpool products. I wiped them off with a dish rag and everything still looked great - of course, I will go back later and reapply the Whirlpool cleaner and polish but used together they provide the first real cleaning and protection I have ever had against touching or light splatter.

Several years ago I started using this product and loved it. Best I had ever used. It was very thick and one thick nickel sized drop would clean the whole refrigerator. I reorder three bottles and wow was I ever shocked and disappointed when I opened the bottle and poured and it was like water. IT CLEANS like it is watered down. Sorry GOODBYE you lost a good customer of several years by watering down your product. Raise the price BUT don't water it down and destroy your product. You are right on one point. Pours easy.....yes it runs out like water. Oooops you goofed to keep up the bottom line. Goodbye. Gloria

We have a 5 year old Whirlpool Gold Stainless Steel fridge-it's been excellent overall, but is a PITA for just being my wife and I to keep the doors clean-I tip my hat to those of you with small children! When we 1st got it, included was a small bottle of this cleaner (#31462- no "A) that did a great job of touching it up. Subsequent bottles of other brands over the years proved terrible-streaking, etc. I purchased another bottle of this Whirlpool brand polish on Amazon and in one cleaning it brought the front back from the dead as far as streaks, smudges, and such go. It looks new again. I don't know if the Whirpool Stainless itself is a different metal compound than other brands, but nothing else comes close to keeping them looking like new. Highest rating
