This is, BY FAR, the best gun grease I have used.
I have been shopping around for a good gun grease for a long time. I have tried all kinds of oils, dry lube, lithium, Teflon based lubricants, graphite, even automotive grease... And they ALL pale in comparison to this Slide Glide Grease! I found, in a lot of shooting forums, that this particular grease has quite the following... So when I found it for sale here on amazon.com, I thought I'd give it a try. This is a "Sticky Lube" if that makes any sense. It seems to do as the creator describes and stays where you put it.So far this has freed up an old Remington .22lr rifle so it cycles like new again. It currently has found itself on A few old Mosin Nagant bolt action rifles, an M9 Beretta, A Sig-Sauer 2022 9mm, a colt 1911 .45, and an old Winchester defender 12ga pump shotgun. This stuff is amazing! Went out to the range in the desert a few days ago in 90+degree heat, Fired a few dozen shots from the Nagants, a hundred rounds through the shotgun, and countless rounds through the .22 rifle and 9mm. After that kind of heat, I usually have to re-lube or grease up the guns halfway through to keep them from wearing out prematurely. I found with this Slide-Glide I didn't even have to stop. "Smooth as silk" is what the R.O. said when he put some on his Colt 1911. And it made a world of difference with the shotgun, that had a slight problem with the rails rubbing metal to metal, and now it cycles like new again.I would recommend getting some blunt needle syringes to control where you apply this, especially in those hard to get at places. It works great on heavy metal guns and even the newer "plastic" guns. And great for quieting squeaky car doors and just about anything else that needs a grease that stays where you put it.Needless to say, I am quite impressed, and this is now the only grease I will use on my guns.

Best slide lube product I've used
I've read other reviews that state this is just regular grease, but I really don't think so. I also don't think it's one of a kind or anything, seems unlikely he had a petroleum engineer develop, much less produce, a one-off product for what has to be a relatively small niche and volume. My guess is it's some sort of fairly specialized, preexisting grease he really did work with an expert on selecting for this application. What I can say for sure is that it's the best product I've ever used on a slide. I've got it on four pistols and they all feel completely different, incredibly slick and just so easy to work. And it does seem to be more tenacious than regular grease, definitely staying in place very well. I'm totally sold.

Great Lube
I purchased this for my new 1911. I purchased some remington oil that is used for the slide to make sure ti runs smooth. I shoot about 30 rounds and everything worked well. After i received the Slide-Glide I cleaned my gun and took off all the old grease and applied slide glide. I can say that it does glide much better and does have a shinny look to it. the slide glide does not move around and does stay in place. I used it very sparingly. I am sold on this product and will not be using anything else. I actually had a problem putting the slide spring back in due to my hands being covered in slide glide. After doing my 1911 i decided i wanted to take another look at my shotguns which i never put (lubricant) on them. I just used rem oil to clean and protect them. After slide glide it made a world of difference. Everything glides perfectly and my guns are much happier. Very happy with the purchase and I know it will last a long time.

Works, but tends to liquefy.
Does what it was intended to do. The only problem is that on warm days or if you carry inside your belt where body heat is higher, the grease tends to liquefy and you end up with it on your holster. I've put literally the smallest amount I can onto the slide and still end up at some point with it liquefying. I your in a colder climate, or don't carry inside a shirt or belt, then your probably fine.

Slicker'n snot on a wet cedar limb
This stuff is great! It doesn't smell all that good, but I've found that scented facial cream does a poor job of lubricating my firearms. Go figure. There's no such thing as a free lunch, I suppose. Seriously, though, Slide Glide is a nice, stringy lube that doesn't easily run, wipe, or scrape off. As with Brylcreem, a little dab'll do ya. And honestly, the smell, while not terribly pleasant, also isn't terribly strong.

A little Too Thick
Slide Glide Lite is a little on the thick side. Having that said, I wonder how thick the standard and heavy formulas are? So far the product seems to be ok. Too soon to tell, will probably update later, as for now so far so good.

Great lube!
I used this on my new Walther PPQ for protection against wear and even though it racks smoothly, Slide Glide made it even smoother. I bought the lite version so I could use it on everything like my .22's. It has a petroleum odor to it, but not bad. It stays where you put it and doesn't spray everywhere. If you don't like to clean your weapons, get this stuff. After shooting, run a bore snake or a patch through the barrel and your done, if after shooting the grease seems thin in some areas, add more and your done. This summer I'll get a tub of the heavy SlideGlide for IDPA since it gets so hot here in Texas, just to see how it works. My son just bought a Kimber .45 and it was very tight. After shooting a few mags through it, we cleaned it and applied SlideGlide to all metal to metal parts and it made a Huge difference in the operation of the gun. It felt like butter. I plan on using it on the hinges of my car door and maybe the house doors. I'm sure this grease has more uses than just handguns.Be safe, shoot well and shoot often.
