Simple tensioning and provides good support

This thing has worked wonders, overall its a good design and comfortable and I can fit an ice pack under it. However the velcro! It only lasts so long eh? Once it starts fuzzing up it can’t grip. Been using this 3/4 times a week for 3 months and the velcro on the inside strap is near enough shot. You could say its not designed for ice packs. But there is enough room and as it only covers the wrist, not stopping any rotation/movement of the wrist, I don’t know why you would use it. So I reckon with regular use this has about a 6 month lifespan. Decide for yourself if thats good value.

Efficient but not the easiest to put on

This item is rather good for what it is. I was a little worried at first as it sounded a little cheap but now that I know it's only the one wrist wrap rather than two makes more sense than my initial thought. However that did provide me with a new problem, unfortunately for the type of exercises I do, I do need both wrists to have the wraps on to have the full effect and where there was only one, it did make things a little challenging.It definitely is tight! It relieves a lot of strain due to its tightness but after a while of use, it did feel like my circulation was getting cut off and I decided to take it off. I think finding the balance between it not having any effect and it cutting of circulation is important to bear in mind when first using this and I do see it being a struggle for those with larger wrists.Still though, it is fairly comfortable and even while testing it on some exercises it did help relieve any strain and pain on the wrist it was on. For me I'm unlikely to use it much unless I do one handed exercise, so for now it shall remain mostly unused but I would advise definitely sticking two in your basket if you're like me!

Good adjustable secure fitting

This states that it 'Fits all sizes'.....it doesn't. I am a slim woman with normal sized wrists for my build. This guard/cuff is too large for me to be able to use the inner cuff velcro fastening. I have had to unpick and move the velcro along so that I can fasten it before fastening the outside strap. It's alright otherwise though a tadge overpriced for what it is.

Having previously had to have my carpal tunnel operated on, I am now very aware of over using it and as well as sleeping in night splints, I like to have wrist guards when doing anything that is physically demanding on my wrist to prevent any further problems, so when I saw this guard I was happy to give it a try.Arriving in a clear plastic packet you receive one black wrist brace/guard that is made of high grade neoprene material that is soft and flexible whilst also offering compression and warmth to your wrist even for prolonged periods of time.It is stretchable in 4 directions and fits comfortably and easily to give uniform support across your wrist without restricting any muscular movement, it is highly durable and features a hook and loop strap closure system that ensures you can get a perfect fit at all times. It is highly versatile and could be worn by men or women as it easily adjusts to fit all sizes of wrist as well as being able to be worn on either hand giving it even more benefits as it is fully interchangeable.I wear it if I am doing a lot of typing or writing to help relieve the pain and pressure in my wrist, but it can easily be worn whilst at the gym, for weight lifting, for various sports etc or simply to give support to an injured wrist helping to speed up the recovery period.Overall I feel that this is a high quality, well made product that is ideal for anyone looking for a wrist support for any reason, and it could even just be kept in your medicine cupboard in case someone in the family injured their wrist and wants a bit of extra support. At £6.95 (price at time of review) I think it is excellent value for money as previous guards I have had in the past have cost a great deal more than this but not been as versatile or as comfortable. This strap is designed well with strong velcro that supports the wrist well whilst also remaining comfortable. It would be nice if it came with a thumb strap to keep it higher up on the wrist but it doesn't slide all too much.The only reason I can think of as to why only one is included is that it is more tailored towards people that get wrist pain. Wearing it on that arm will reduce the strain and likelihood of further injury. But even then having 2 would make more sense to prevent the other one hurting in the future. Wrist straps are almost always worn on both wrists and more preventative as you increase your maximum lifting weight. However it does give people that only want one an option of doing so without having to pay for double.The design of these are also great and blend into any clothing. They can be tightened quite a bit and remain like that due to the strong velcro so be wary about your circulation if you do tend to wear it a little too tight.
