It is larger than a sugar bowl but smaller than canisters. I use it for sugar near the coffee pot, another to hold tea bags on counter.

This works great when you have your kitchen in purple very pretty and classy looking. It's a little smaller than what I expected if I'm not mistaken you can get four pieces instead of three if I were to do it over again I would have gotten the four pieces I would highly recommend only if getting the four pieces

I recommend these canisters because they are durable, spacious, and easy to clean. I do wish they were labeled, but I used label makers to label the contents. The purple and polka dot design is gorgeous with the kitchen decor.
