Love this !
The media could not be loaded. Β Love this product ! My mice are going nuts for this thing ! It's pretty large and super fun (we have the dollhouse ) only complaint is you have to buy two. I would of easily bought one of each design. But I didn't because you have to buy two of each design . At least let us mix and match (one of each design ) Instead of having to buy two of the same thing. So in the end you guys lost money because I was gonna buy all 4 but decided not to because I don't want 8. I would of been fine having to buy 2 (two different ones ). That's my only complaint. Other then that my elderly dad put it together pretty fast ! And the mice are going nuts ! Holes are tiny so I wouldn't reccomend for gerbils or syrians. Way too tiny of holes. But perfect for mice! And it's pretty big ! My mice live in a 75 gallon though so there is alot of room !

Super cute 3D cutout for gerbils (or mice)
I bought this and a couple of other similar Ovo products to put into my gerbils 20 gallon long tanks, for them to explore and gnaw up. This product is especially suited for gerbils because they are althetic and curious enough to really go to town on it. (I bet mice would like it too because they love to climb. I can't imagine a hamster doing anything with this except building a nest and napping beneath it.) Anyone who has gerbils knows that gerbils gnaw up anything made of cardboard (or wood, plastic, even ceramic over time). So depending on the gerbils, this product will last from a few days to a few weeks. In the meantime you can take many adorable pictures of the gerbils sitting on their hauches or climbing up the ladders, and looking out the treehouse portholes. Loads of cuteness for the money. The reason I did not rate this as five stars was because these Ovo products, especially the beach house (also adorable), have several pieces and take some time to put together. I had pre-teen build them for me, which is a good thing because if I had to do it myself they might still be in the wrappers. This product is included on my listmania "How to make your Gerbils smile"

hamster approval ratings reach unprecedented high
According to Amazon, a 5-Star rating means "I love this". But in THIS case, my 5-Star rating actually means "my HAMSTER absolutely loves this". I have bought numerous hamster toys in the past which I, as a human, love (so adorable!), but which my hamster completely ignores. Not so with this treehouse. It is far and away her favorite play area. Her approval of this toy is, quite simply, unprecedented. She never seems to tire of climbing in and out and under and through and over and around this thing.I would definitely recommend it to any DWARF hamster. (Syrian hamsters might enjoy it as well, but I think the size is best suited to dwarves.)One note to humans: don't try to force things into place during assembly or the cardboard will break. Assembly does require a bit of patience and finesse, a lot of tiny adjustments and wiggling to get the very-thigt-fitting fitting pieces together, but the effort will be worth it... at least to your hamster :)

Great Maze
My dwarf hamsters love the maze, they both fit in the bottom sections and tend to take naps together there after running. I've been using the maze for 3 weeks and they actually haven't chewed on it at all-but if they did, it would be the point of having it for them to begin with. It is sturdy and the top floor can handle both of them climbing and crawling at the same time. It also adds additional color (for the person watching them) to the already colorful Ovo systems. I wasn't expecting this to last since it's cardboard and meant to be demolished, but 3 weeks and it's still holding up and going strong.I'm not sure if the following has any correlation, but we added this to their home after we had potty trained them so they don't defecate on the cardboard at all, just the bedding below.

OK to use without Habitrail
This is a dollhouse designated for Habitrail. I do not have Habitrail, so my rating does not reflect its true value. But I thought it could be used in an otherwise enclosed space. And it can. Without Habitrail, you cannot force the critter to move according to "the design". But the various openings still provide enough stimulation for the hamster to explore, especially if you place some food at various locations. For the amount of money I pay for this, it's not bad.

Not the greatest of the mazes
How the maze fits into the habitrail cage- the only way in or out is through the lowest (grey) level. The problem is that there are not enough holes cut into this level and some of the holes (i.e.. the one directly underneath the 2 cats in the picture) lead nowhere. My hamster was smart enough to squeeze around the edge BUT then there are no holes for him to go anywhere else in that quadrant. This left him with his only option of survival being chew through this effin haus!!!! I had to cut out holes that should have been there in the first place and it greatly weakened the structure. Now, I just have it as a tabletop maze and it works great that way! I suggest the beach maze, it is the strongest and most practical.

More or less for dwarf hamsters.
It kind of implies that this is a play Room for the hamster but it is more or less just cardboard that takes up the entire space and the hamster hates it. The hamster will only touch it if I have treats on it. Nice try but I do not recommend wasting money if you do not have to.

Hamster fun
To start with my hamster had no clue what to do with this, but after a few days he figured it out! In fact he created a bed for himself inside of it!There are lots of handy holes to place treats, which take a while for your hamster to get them out of, also it lasts a long time before needing replacing, I think in the entire year and a half we had our hamster, I only had to replace 4 times!Only downside is that it is very time consuming to put together

Ovo Maze
This is an excellent product I believe they are discontinuing the Ovo extension and so the cardboard mazes are harder to find. I like the seaside theme (or adventurer) because it does not have any Barbies or anything on it, and the blue colour goes with my hamsters blue Ovo. I don't use the Ovo as a cage extension, it is my hamster's nest box as she lives in a massive long plastic bath tub, she loves the Ovo as her safe place and keeps all her food and nesting in it, I have placed sand within it also for her to dig through. She loves to chew the cardboard and rearrange it all to her satisfaction, and that makes me happy too. They are expensive but fairly good value for money, Choccy is 18 months old and this is only her second cardboard maze .
