Kelapo Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Cooking Spray, 5-Ounce Can (117391-79179)

I'm allergic to soy and most cooking sprays are made with vegetable oil, which is basically soybean oil. I was so glad to find this coconut spray oil. I love coconut but don't want my eggs or anything else to taste like it and luckily this doesn't have a strong or really any coconut taste. It works great and is easy to use. I keep a few stocked so I don't run out. Recommended.

This coconut oil was great! I got 2 cans of it and ran out quite a while back. I ended up picking up a jar instead but I really liked this stuff for cooking eggs in the morning. I decided to try this because coconut oil is better for you than many other oils and I usually use a canola oil cooking spray.This stuff smells wonderful and works well for most, but not all foods.I usually make drop biscuits in a muffin pan so they are more uniform in shape.When I used the coconut oil spray instead of the usual spray, nearly all of my biscuits stuck to the pan.They didn't stick as much as using no spray, but certainly more than they do when I use the less expensive spray.It's a great product for some purposes, but I wouldn't rely on it to be my only cooking spray.

I tried to find organic cooking spray, as oxymoronic as that sounds, and I think I found one organic EVOO spray or this (which isn't totally organic but it only has two ingredients and is all natural). I tried this because I prefer coconut oil for spraying muffin tins and it has been delicious and works great. Just a little expensive but these things last a long time so it hardly makes a difference when you are talking about spraying down a muffin pan.

I eat paleo for my health, and this is the only cooking spray I have found that does not contain other ingredients like soy or canola oil. It sprays extremely well, it lasts a long time, and the only negative is that coconut oil is a solid below 75 degrees, so the nozzle will sometimes gum up. But it is very easy to scrape a fingernail over the nozzle and the spray will come right out again. It is an expensive product, but it simplifies my cooking a great deal and I buy it in bulk or you subscribe and save whenever I see a deal.

For years, oil sprays have become the backbone of my cooking. Unfortunately, good quality productshave been hard to find. There have been some good olive oil sprays, but olive oil isn't what you'dalways want to use. Coconut oil is an excellent source for all around good for cooking applications.I have found that, the coconut oil did not impart at coconuty flavor with my eggs if you don't over use the spray. Using this in baking is also great- spray your muffin and lasagna pans. The best tip I can give with making your stainless steel pan nonstick-ish is spray the pan before heating. Once the pan is fullly heated, then add your eggs. You mayhave to experiment a bit to get a feel of the right balance.

I only gave this review 4 stars because I feel that the price is kind of high in comparison to the olive oil spray. It works well, however, and gave my salmon a great taste. It was did make the salmon slightly oilier, but tasted great.

This coconut oil spray is just what I was looking for! Ok first let me say I bought this for cooking and it's stored in my kitchen pantry BUT I saw a review from a gal that sprayed it in her skin!! Let me tell you, it is amazing. It's not greasy and has a very very light coconut scent. When they say you can use coconut oil for anything, they aren't lying! The spray can just do make using it for so many purposes so much easier! Will definitely get more when I run out (almost tempted to order now so I never run out!)
