Klean Kanteen Classic Double Wall Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Leak Proof Loop Cap

Love Klean Kanteen products and this was no exception! This bottle has been attached to me since it arrived. After starting with plastic CamelBak bottles (which broke really quickly and were difficult to clean) and then migrating to steel, I realized I should invest in a nice insulated bottle because I was sick of drinking water that got hot the minute I walked outside. This bottle is a great size, keeps my drinks cold, doesn't leak at all, and is easy to clean. I put ice in it over 24 hours ago, took the bottle in a kayak, let it sit in the sun, took it with on a long bike ride, and then let it sit overnight, and the ice is still in there!! I also think the color is really nice. I'm not usually the type to pick out a bright color, but this color is so lovely to look at and easy to spot among my belongings.I'm really picky when it comes to my water bottles, but there isn't a single complaint I have or adjustment I'd make to this product.UPDATE: I have had this bottle for several weeks now and was really enthusiastic about it when I first got it. I initially gave it 5 stars. However, after using it almost daily, I have noticed a real problem. Despite caring for this product very well and only using it as directed, there is an odor issue that just seems to get worse. The only way to describe the smell is like that of dirty gym socks and it makes the bottle almost unusable. I was already rinsing the bottle out after each use before the smell appeared. I have since tried cleaning it with vinegar, special cleaning tablets, different kinds of soap, etc. I even let it sit upside down and with the cap off for a few days to air out. Each time I clean it, the smell seems like it's gone and then as soon as I put water in the bottle, screw the cap on and then open it again an hour or two later, the bottle reeks. It's not the water either because I've used different sources of water. I cannot figure out how to get the smell to go away. I've pretty much given up on this bottle and started using an 8 dollar insulated bottle from Target. It doesn't keep my water as cold as this one, but at least it smells fine.

When I first started using steel kanteens I began with the klean kanteen Classic. It was an excellent "water only" bottle that was great for sports but utterly terrible for multidrink types such as coffee and tea. The bottle was also really bad at sweating with cold drinks so I moved on to hydroflask. The quality of hydroflask was sub par with the steel noticeable softer but with much better features than klean kanteen. Having all of my drinks insulated (allowed hot or cold use), sweat proof, and with a nice feelable exterior paint job was extremely worth forsaking my previous fandom of klean kanteen. However I had always said, if klean kanteen could make adjustments to their classic bottle it would be the best. LOW AND BEHOLD !!!!!!!! This bottle is incredible !!! They made all of the correct adjustments without sacrificing quality. The bottle has the signature harder steel feeling (compared to the hydroflask) which seems to radiate quality. The klean kanteen bottle now has insulation too which I have found to last longer than the hydroflask with both hot and cold drinks. This bottle is alsoeasier to clean and drink from than the wide mouth insulated klean kanteen.The exterior of the bottle for black and green has also been painted with a texturized paint which is very similar to the hydroflask paint style. The one thing that Klean kanteen did not improve on was the curved mouth at the top of the bottle. Some people claim that it causes the bottle to drip from the sides while drinking from the open top. I have never had any issues with this, but do find that I like the hydroflask mouth style slightly better. The length of the klean kanteen bottle is also slightly taller than the hydroflask but I found that this didn't interfere with it fitting in my cup holder in the car.Overall, this new kanteen has been engineered to perfection and I am definitely a huge advocator of it ! Klean kanteen finally caught up and passed its major competition by making the necessary modifications to its previous classic style kanteen. If you have an old wide mouth insulated klean kanteen, classic klean kanteen, hydroflask, or any other type of steel bottle you should switch to this ! You will not be sorry with your purchase, spend the extra money and acquire a bottle made with your lifestyle in mind.P.s keep in mind I purchased the steel cap present in the pictures separately

How can a vacuum flask be difficult to use you may ask? The cap is not at all ergonomic, so opening it can be difficult after firmly tightening it with hot coffee inside. You have to entirely remove the cap to drink, which can be both tedious if you need to keep it hot, and impractical if you are in a moving vehicle. Due to the inside contours, the drink sort of "tidal waves" into the neck, meaning it is all too easy to get a splash in your face. The shape and lip of the rim also make it prone to drips. Needs some design work.I didn't hate everything. It looks great, and the finish is pretty strong if not impervious to chipping. The overall flask is very sturdy and it still has no dents. A lack of moving parts mean there is very little that can break. It really does keep the drink warm for hours, and I've had steaming hot coffee 6 or 8 hours after pouring it in.Long story short, this is a sturdy yet oddly difficult vacuum flask. It's been fine, but it's not the one.

Before making any purchase I am an obsessive researcher and in this instance I feel I have both let myself down and been misled.This item is very beautiful and seems to be well made. However, it has a major design flaw which renders it almost entirely useless. The cap. Unlike other thermal flasks I have used in the past the cap off this one is just a single layer of plastic; no hollow cavity inside to add to the insulation. Put a hot drink into this bottle and you can immediately fell the heat escaping through the cap and the neck. It's like insulating the walls of your house and not bothering to insulate your roof so all the heat just goes out the top.When I researched this item I was swayed by some claims of keeping drinks hot for over 24 hours but these are completely false. Lucky to get more than 4 hours and then expect a 'warm' cuppa. Would not recommend.

The best water bottle I have ever bought. I was a bit unsure about this bottle due to the rather high price. But after leaving it in the car one day for 5 hours, when the outside temperature was 27 degrees and the car was very hot, when I drank from the bottle the water was still very cold with some small ice chunks still floating around. I have never looked back.

Such a great product! This Klean Kanteen product are awesome in every way: good medium size (give and take: size and weight), excellent grip, good seal, pretty color, easy to clean, does not flavor your beverage, and last but not lest: responsibly produced.To top it off: quick delivery and good packaging - in other words; great seller.Would highly recommend!
