Overall I am very pleased with this bulb
Overall I am very pleased with this bulb. This makes the third (including the factory original) bulb that has been installed in my TV; so far, so good. Before my previous bulb finally burned out the TV had become so dim it was almost impossible to make out what was happening if the scene was dark. The bulb is much brighter than my last one was before it quit and probably equally as bright as the factory bulb when it was new. It is my understand that these bulbs dim over time before burning out, I will update this review if I have premature diming/burnout. I would recommend this bulb, it almost like have a new TV again, I should have replaced the last one sooner.

Not Good
With all the knock-off bulbs out there this one is the standard no-name junk. The case is flimsy and reminded me of cheap discount-store plastic toys from the late 90's. The electrical connectors pushed back into the case when i tried to inset it in the tv set so i had to disassemble it and put the bulb in my original housing. After carefully soldering the bulb in (just so happens i know how to solder...lucky me) i put it into the television and it worked. The picture is decent but the bulb goes back and forth dimming and brightening randomly....sometimes it will work fine for a few hours. Overall it works in a pinch but you are WAY BETTER OFF buying just a bulb and using the screw attachments in the original housing and the tabs that bulbs-only come with. Likely you will also have more options at a better price. IT IS NOT "PURGLARE" or some brand name bulb that's different. Keep that in mind at the very least.

I did however use the recommended replacement bulbs that cost more
I put this bulb into my JVC projection television. The new bulb melted the connectors, and ruined my set! When I tried to remove the replacement bulb, it tore out the bulb, connector slot and the wires. They had been fused together.I have replaced the bulbs before and have had no problems. I did however use the recommended replacement bulbs that cost more.Trying to save some money here will cost you big.Do not purchase this bulb unless you wish to spend the money for television disposal and whatever deal Amazon or Costco has running.

Just received my lamp and installed it, took less than 30 seconds. I can' believe it, the picture is flipping AMAZING!!!! I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I will update this post when it goes out and let you know how long it lasts.

BOUGHT IT FIRST AND IT EXPLODED IN 2 HOURS OF USE PLUS THE COLOR WASNT GOOD. RETURNED IT AND FOUND A REAL JVC BRAND ONE. IT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE,BUT IT HAD BETTER COLOR RIGHT AWAY AND IT HAS BEEN A COUPLE MONTHS AND STILL GOOD, SO WE FEEL GOOD THAT IT WILL LAST

Easy to install
Easy to install, and results are OUTSTANDING!!!! My picture is brighter and clearer than when I purchased my TV years ago. If you are sitting on the fence, I highly recommend this company and product. I saved hundreds of $$$$$$. Will most definitely purchase again!!!!!
