Work outside confidently
This is such a God-send. It's such a relief being able to work outside and not have to smack yourself every 2 seconds because you think you're being bit (or ARE being bit). I got this in combo with the pants (see video) and it's wonderful. There are no cons, this thing is perfect. It's much cooler than wearing a sweatshirt, obviously, but it's not as cool as a t-shirt. It will make you slightly warmer than if you weren't wearing it, but sooooo worth it!PS It is NOT wasp-proof. Little bas***d went through this jacket, through my t-shirt and stuck me in the shoulder. Granted I was swatting at them with a bug zapper at the time (got 4 of'em), so I might've brought that one on myself...PPS baking soda paste and ice packs, 12 hours later you couldn't see what had been a massive bump surrounded by red flesh.

Best purchase I have made this year-- can now walk the dog without getting eaten up by mosquitos
This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. This jacket works great. I struggled with what size to order... I ordered the large (worrying that I may need an extra large), but the large is very generous, and fits very loosely, with plenty of room to spare, including the sleeve length. A garment of this type needs to fit loosely, and the Large I ordered does just that. I am 5'9 (male) and 190 pounds with a 44 chest size.It is very easy to put on and take off. The mesh is tight enough to keep even the smallest insects out, but does let air pass through -- I am still able to feel breezes (when there is a rare breeze to feel).I have been using this garment two to three times a day, every day since I received it, and it is holding up just fine. I live in the country and walk my large dog at least three times a day around our property. At night, I like to wear a 600 lumen headlight which frees up my hands for managing my large dog. By the time we are a quarter mile into our walk, I have a swarm of insects buzzing around my head that are attracted to the 600 lumen light. That was driving me nuts but this garment has solved that problem. The insects are still attracted to the light and swarm around me, but they cannot get to me, and they no longer are an irritant. This garment also solves the problem of walking face-first into spider webs, which also drove me nuts. With this garment, I may still accidentally walk into a spider web, but the garment protects me and the web does not get on me.This garment also keeps the mosquitos from being able to bite me, which is wonderful, especially since the mosquito-borne Zika virus as well as West Nile virus are both present where I live. The garment is extremely light weight, and folds up very compactly. You can stuff it into a large pocket (like a cargo pocket on cargo pants) if need be.I have machine laundered it (placing it inside a "delicates" protecting mesh bag) with out any problem or damage to the garment. You don't have to wear this with a hat, but wearing a hat with a brim makes it more effective since he mesh will drape further out from your face and neck. At night, I put on a boonie hat, then put on the Bug Jacket, then secure my headlight elastic straps on top of that -- it works great for me.

Important piece of protective gear
The important thing is the jacket keeps mosquitoes and black flies from biting you.I wear this when I am trying to take photographs. It's hard to focus on your shot if you are being attacked by insects.I ended up cutting a small hole so I could see without the mesh. Of course there is a possibility of bugs finding their way in through the eye hole, about the size of a diving mask. But the bugs don't usually get in. If I didn't cut the hole, I couldn't see well, and didn't wear the jacket. The only other challenge to loving this jacket is that it is warm. I know it sounds crazy to say a lightweight mesh jacket makes you feel hot; but it's true! But the important thing is it keeps the bugs from biting you! So I like it. Next year I'll get the pants to match.

Can enjoy Houston in the summer
You look weird- but it is like carrying around your own personal tent. Not as cool as wearing no extra covering, but a lot better than long sleeves and pants! I have used these for years to hike in the Cascades at the height of bug season. I can rest, look at views, even take a nap during lunch, without being bitten. Everyone else can't stand still for a few seconds. Way preferable to putting smelly and oily bug spray on.

Great solution!
I'm an avid gardener with a lot of buggy areas to weed. I'm not able to use DEET on my skin and this bug suit has saved the day! No mosquitos, no see ums or ticks got through. Plenty of headroom for a wide brimmed hat. Front of neck has a double zipper so you can work with your head out or get a drink. I'm a size ladies size 12-14 and got the Large. It is very baggy, but you wouldn't want it to sit close to your skin for both comfort and effectiveness. The ONLY down side is that it can feel hot when the weather is muggy. If you are working in the shade with a nice breeze, this is the way to go. I was pretty comfortable in leggings and a t-shirt in 83F breezy weather. And I got so much more done in a shorter amount of time because I wasn't afraid to get down in there and really weed out the buggy areas! Get the pants too!

Bug Buster!
Worked like a charm, even for the no-see-ums. I spent a weekend in the Florida Everglades and the bugs there were ferocious. I hardly got bitten at all, except for my ankles and feet which were exposed from time to time. I loved the double zipper in the front - I brought the two zippers together in the middle and was able to sip from a water bottle whenever I wanted to without exposing myself unduly. I did get a few holes in the netting when I sat too close to a friend who was smoking a cigar and had small sparks flying whenever they would pull on the cigar. This was easily remedied with a small piece of clear tape but I will be steering clear of all open fires from now on. Invaluable protection on bug-intensive excursions.

It works!
The weight is next to nothing, it does not fill much and best of all, it keeps the bugs away from you. It is easy to get in and out of - all in all, a well designed piece of gear that will make life a whole lot more pleasant if you venture into a bug infested area.

Very Disappointed
I wore the jacket for just a couple of hours when I noticed the seam on the side was unsewn. Don't know if it was like that from the box and I hadn't noticed or or if it got unsewn whilst I was wearing it. Very poor quality. Btw if you buy the jacket you don't need to buy the head net because the jacket has one attached

For the Forest Fashionista
Not only did I look stunning in the mesh jacket, but it did it's job of keeping all the bugs away! The men however, couldn't keep em off!

Very good Bug Jacket
Very good jacket to protect against all insects. The material is resistant and the size Large is pretty good for my mate (5'10, 190 lbs). I suggest you to go with a larger size, so the jacket won't stick to your skin. And for my taste, I like to have some space to put a baseball cap on or a hat. I didn't give 5 stars, because I have a Bushlife Outdoor jacket and it is a bit better. Enjoy !

Excellent!
Great jacket. I use it daily and can finally get the whole lawn cut without becoming a mobile buffet. I bought a Large, I stand 6’3” and it fits with lots of room for sweaters or light jackets. Already bought a second one for my wife.

Essential for portaging in Algonquin park
bought this for the guys trip to Algonquin. Lifesaver on those long deep woods portages. Would highly recommend, can wear it over anything, used while carrying canoe. No rips or tears. 10 stars

Excellent protection during bug season.
Elastic cuff ties are a little long and tend to get caught on things. Good visibility through hood. Loose fitting on a medium frame body. Have had the odd mosquito sneak in around waist, so make sure the draw strings are snug. Great protection, a must when enjoying the bush during bug season. Keeps out the smallest of biting gnats.

My Gardening necessity!
You probably can find cheaper at your dollar store but this is a really great jacket if you’re scared of bugs like I am.

A bit hot
ON a hot day, if the bugs are biting, I'd rather be hotter than bitten. Did the job. Fast delivery too. Could not have been any faster. Ordered on Sunday and arrived on Monday. Thanks Prime.

Good for black flies....
Works well for black flies if you tie up the waist and arm openings. Won't do much to deter mosquitoes as they will bight right through the mesh. It gets very hot to work in as your skin does not breath well. Not sure how sturdy the mesh will be over time.
