Beautiful Duvet Set: cover and shams incredible price and quality
I purchased this Duvet Set to update my bedroom a few months ago and have been very happy with the look, quality, and performance. I had a bedspread that I paid way too much for to just let go of, but wanted to update the look of the room. The original bedspread was brown and green and does not show through the fabric of the duvet cover. The fabric is heavy enough to not show the colors below, but not so heavy as to add unwanted weight to the bedding while sleeping. I washed it before putting it on the bed and unlike other reviewers stated, the fabric is soft and comfortable to lay on and the smell associated with industrial shipping and storage went away with the first wash. While it does have a little bit of wrinkle to the fabric, it is uniform looking and gives the cover more of a relaxed and beach-y vibe than it might have if it was perfectly starched and smooth. I do not iron, so how it came out of the washer is how it looks for us and it looks great. Even with a husband who would normally be uncomfortable with a "messy" looking bedspread, this duvet he likes. The colors were just as portrayed in the pictrues and a masculine enough to make him happy and decorative to make me happy. The pillow shams are also a nice touch. I did purchase two Euro shams in pure white and matched the duvet cover with a pure white pleated bed skirt as well for a complete and polished look.

Beautiful cover but be careful of color
Review for: Pinzon Printed Cotton Duvet SetPros: Soft and pretty.Cons: Color is not what I expected. This duvet set is beautiful. The design is a baby blue, soft tan, cream, soft gray, and white. It's intricate and dainty, which is what I was looking for. However, based on the picture, I wasn't expecting the cream and the soft tan. It looked like a lighter gray to me. I realize that this is my fault-- computer screens do not always portray color accurately. I have included a picture of the pattern under my daylight lamp. The duvet was fairly easy to put on my comforter. I used the burrito method-- if you don't know, look it up on youtube. It will save you so much time!Overall, it is a great duvet cover. The material is super soft and comfortable. It looks good and will do what it's made for.

because of it's cool feeling in the heat
I've used this product for over a year now and I have to say it has held up very well. In fact, it looks the same as it did when I first received it. I have acne and because of this, I must wash my bedding more often than usual (once a week ideally). I also use topical acne medications that basically bleach my towels, but my sheets and this duvet cover, do not seem to be affected. There has been no shrinkage or pilling and I am not that careful when it is thrown in the wash and dryer( I accidentally use hot water and high heat from time to time). I remove it promptly from the dryer, put the duvet in and smooth it out on the bed to remove any wrinkles. I have no idea what the thread count is but it is soft and seems way softer than when I first bought it. I live in Southern Florida so I was looking for a cotton duvet cover with a percale weave, because of it's cool feeling in the heat. This fits the bill as it keeps my husband cool while I get to keep my fluffy duvet. The coloring is a sky blue with cream tan and light steel grey accents on a white background. My sheets are aqua colored so maybe you can use them as a reference.

the pictures look like some higher end bedding you'd see from Pottery Barn
Online and from distance, the pictures look like some higher end bedding you'd see from Pottery Barn. However, the fabric is thin, cheap looking when you actually receive it. It looks like washed out pillow case fabric. It is nothing like Pottery Barn bedding, which is much more expensive, but durable and better quality. So if that's what you are expecting in hopes of saving some money, you may be disappointed. I ended up going back to PB to buy some extras (euro shams, skirt) to dress up, and cover up the inferior quality of this set. Since this was purchased for a guest bedroom which will not get much use, it works. However, I would not recommend buying for master bedroom.

Like this set a lot - 4 1/2 stars!
If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would. I wanted to redo my bedroom without spending a fortune and looved the look of this online. I kind of hoped that the color would be more vibrant in person. It's not, but I don't mind at all. I knew I'd like it either way. It's white with muted blue and tan. I washed the set and the duvet came out ready to go on the bed, pillow cases needed ironing. The set is a tiny bit stiff, but has only been washed once and is actually softer than what I would have expected at this price.

Paper thin waste of money. Heed my warning!
No lie my curtains are thicker than this "comforter". When I think of a comforter i think of a the blanket filled with, whatever they put in comforters. The picture makes it look thicker than it is. I wouldn't spend more than $20 for this I had known. This is coming from a guy who lives on his own and has had the same (half inch thick) comforter for the last few years and just wanted to impress his girlfriend with his bed spread choosing abilities. Well good thing I put out a lot of body heat cause it's gonna be a cold winter with this sheet. But nobody is going to read this review because it's got a good rating and people are just gonna look at the good reviews

This duvet cover is very attractive. The colors are ...
This duvet cover is very attractive. The colors are soothing and calming, which is the look I was after for this particular guest bedroom. The duvet cover contains button closures, in case that is important to anyone (no zipper closure on this one). The cotton is not the softest I have felt in my lifetime, but is quite acceptable to me, as I put very, very soft sheets on the bed, so the duvet actually doesn't touch the skin anyway if the bed is made correctly. HOWEVER, there is one small detail that folks should know - the size of the sham covers are a bit larger than the average king-sized pillow. I just purchased new king-sized pillows for the shams, and the shams fit the king-sized pillows a bit too large. Not a big deal, but important in case someone wants the bed to be "picture perfect" looking. My new pillows appear to be average sized king pillows, but are a bit smaller for these shams. Just FYI.
