only use these if you are in a jam
works if you are in a pinch to fix torn CV boots, but they are very finicky in application and you must make sure your working area is very clean along with your hands when putting them together or else the boots will not bond properly. Also the band clamps are absolute garbage, be sure to buy some hose clamps to fit your application or else they will never seal properly.If you have the time fix your CV's properly, buy the proper boots and don't waste your time with these.

Difficult to install and retention clips difficult to tighten. I suggest ordering extra. These are not a long term replacement ( my opinion based on 4,000 miles of use) but can get you by till you can get the job professionally done. Due to difficulty tightening grease still leaks out.

the replacement boot that Amazon supplied simply snapped on in 15 minutesThe traditional method to remove the front axle assembly takes about 1 hoursaving about 45 minutes and a lot less cleanup according to my husband

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
Got this for my 1991 Toyota pickup 4x4. Amazon said it would fit, unfortunately it is a "one size fits all" sorta product. It does not fit my truck and was a complete was of time and money. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The two main pieces of the boot go together alright, but the two pieces in the lower left corner of the picture are suppose to go together and very much don't. It is suppose to make up for the difference in shaft size to the smaller side of the boot. It was too small of an inner diameter to fit my cv shaft and the "C" ring was too large. The bands to secure it are also garbage. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! Buy a real cv boot or replace the whole axle and do the job right. That is what I now have to do after wasting my time and money on this product.
