He caught her trying to steal from him so he hired her to work for him
I love this series and I love Zach and Farrow. I mean, after suffering from some trauma, Zach didn’t like people touching him and he wouldn’t touch anyone, but with Farrow, he was learning to be human again. Farrow was the only one he would let touch him and she was the only one he would touch, I’m living for this. I loved that Dallas took her under her wing and became a great friend to her. Also, I loved Celeste Ayi and how wild she is. I love how strong Farrow is which she has to be in order to deal with her horrible stepmother and sisters. I love how tough both Zach and Farrow are. They both helped each other live again. Also, the declaration in the end was so perfect. I truly loved this book and I need more Parker and Leigh collabs.

A great addition to the “Dark Prince Road” series!
Zach and Farrow’s story was very entertaining and I enjoyed the Cinderella vibes, as well as the crossovers from Dallas and other characters from My Dark Romeo. The story did drag a little around the 50% mark of the book but picked up once you hit the 75% mark and didn’t let go of you for the rest of the storyline. The female narrator for the audiobook was rather nasally, and I wish they had picked someone else after the first female narrator for My Dark Romeo knocked it out of the park for me, so my rating was a little lower for this one. I also didn’t laugh nearly as much as I did with My Dark Romeo while listening to and reading My Dark Desire. I still plan on picking up book three, My Dark Prince, immediately after this book and I hope the narrators are good for that audiobook!

Beautiful book
This is a beautiful book. Great story. This is the second book in. The Dark Price Road series. An enemies to lovers book. It feels like a Cinderella meets beauty and the beast blended story. I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out.

So glad I gave this series another chance!
This book, this story…I kid you not—probably one of the best couples I’ve read about this year. Can I just say—as a Viet girl, I love the inclusivity in our corner?!? Thank you for that. If you’re more of a logical thinker to a fault like me, this book will hold you like baby Simba, and will make you feel so heard. Smh I can’t remember the last time I read characters that were so cognitively relatable.Won’t lie to you, I didn’t have great confidence in continuing this series ‘cause I dreaded the first book, My Dark Romeo, so much—but this book really took a turn for the best. I love every second of it. I love how casual the writing is and how the writers manage to tap into the psyche of all characters, even subtly. The progression in characters is sooooooooooo real and subtle, slow and steady- God I loved it. AND the psychological nuances. They might be hard to miss for some, but once you catch on, it really hits you in the soul. Not to mention, yall captured my man Zach so perfectly, from speech to way of thinking. The way that Zach and Farrow think are so similar yet so different and the distinction was made clear through the tonality and diction of each of their individual chapters. I loved it.This book showed a totally different side of characters compared to My Dark Romeo, and the pacing here was infinitely better than the first. It completely blew my expectations out of the water. Some people might not like the slowburn, but the slowburn is exactly what makes it beautiful. I LOVED FARROW’S CHARACTER SO MUCH. She had a good balance between masculinity and femininity, which made her decision making much more enjoyable to read (most decisions though, not all.) I was clawing at the walls while reading this (in a good way.) I really can’t say enough about this book to be honest, and I wish I could make my review a bit more concise, but really, I loved it. That being said, I’m hella looking forward to our last and most wild gentleman, Oliver von Bismarck. I hope his book leaves a “marck” on me too hehe :D

Amazing!
This was a powerful story of loss and living again. Fae and Zach are an unlikely couple but truly mesh in the best way. The overcome obstacles and have amazing chemistry. Loved their back and forth banter and wished their story didn’t end. Pick up a copy because you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

I liked this
I got this on Kindle Unlimited. I read the third one so I knew the ending but it was nice to read how they got to the ending.

Long enemies to lovers
I wanted to pick this up because the hero is Chinese. Billionaire and bully romances are genres I tend to avoid. This gave me Korean Boys Over Flowers mixed with Cinderella Story vibes except more self contained. Farrow sneaks into Zachary Sun's mansion during a party to find him a wife to steal back her father's beloved jade pendant. She gets caught by Zachary and impresses him by challenging him to a game of Go. He does not know she is his fencing coach. Fae wants what was promised to her in her father's will but is in a tough fight with her step mother, Vera who over works her and she and her two daughters do not want to work. Zac wants to know the woman who outsmarted him and refuses to back down. He strikes a deal with her when her touch does not cause him a violent reaction: she will work for him and he will provide her the best lawyers and help to contest the will read. Slowly, she thaws him and he learns that he was not happy. This is very lengthy and could have been shortened. There are some very steamy scenes like the one with his cigar holder and this is enemies to lovers where both try to make each other jealous. I thought he could have broke off his engagement to Eileen wayyyy earlier. I liked the comic relief of Oliver and Dallas.

The words from the page. Each character was well thought out and has complexity. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
