I like to mulch my herbs, especially basil, with pine needles so soil doesn't splash up. I've always used white pine needles which are much softer so was surprised at how much longer, stiffer and prickelly these were but there was truth in advertising so I can't complain.

Expensive in comparison to what you can get at the big box stores. However the color did pop more than the local hardware stores. But not spending that money again when it’s a fraction of the price elsewhere.

I’ve purchased other pine straw and this particular brand and type is of high quality. Takes some time to lay down, but looks great and stays in place.
