NikonProstaff 5 Fieldscope 16-48x/20-60x Eyepiece

A zoom eyepiece covering a wide range for a reasonable price. Couldn't be any good, right? WRONG. Fantastically bright, clear image - brighter even than the fixed 25x eyepiece. Even at the long end, where it is undeniably weakest, it is some way beyond 'acceptable' - a darker image and barely perceptible diminishing of absolute resolution is all. Drawing it from it's pouch it is reassuringly heavy and solidly made. We've been looking around at binoculars and scopes recently and haven't been all that impressed with what we have seen (up to around the £900 price point), but finally settled on Nikon's Prostaff 5 82a scope which in our view simply slaughters every single pair of binoculars we tried, including some very expensive image stabilised models. Specifically, avoids the impression of peering down a well, or the tiring mismatch between eyepieces sometimes found with binoculars, even expensive ones, plus magnification is FAR higher.

Coupled with Prostaff 5 82a. Great combination, 20x low enough for searching, 60x gives a superb view

Lovely this eye piece. Just gives you most scope (Pun not intended) when out and about bird watching. Great value and the hold set up of scope and eye piece are brilliant if you can not afford the top end kit.

If you have a Nikon scope that this fits you should not hesitate to buy this lens. It knocks spots off the 35x lens. I'd definitely buy this again. Why go bird watching without a 60x magnification? So good!

Whilst I’m very happy with the eyepiece I’m more concerned about other items I wish to purchase from Nikon like a 25x eyepiece fir my prostaff 5 as I’ve heard Nikon are going out of buisness

Product as expected. Price better and delivery to Canada faster than would have been if I had ordered from Canada or the U.S.

Not sharp from mid to high telephoto end. OK ish at wide angle end

Ich verwende das Okular mit dem Prostaff 5 82-A. Besitze außerdem das 38x W und dieses ist im Vergleich zum Zoom bei dieser Vergrößerung optisch etwas besser mit einen etwas größeren Sichtfeld.Das 20-60x ist gut verarbeitet, der Zoomring fühlt sich solide an, dieser hat kein Spiel und dreht sich mit einem angenehmen Wiederstand.Anbei habe ich noch ein paar mal durch das Spektiv fotografiert, zum Vergleich auch einmal durch ein Swarovski Habicht 7x42 "Edelfernglas", um sich selbst ein Bild zu machen.In Worten würde ich den Bildeindruck bei 20x als praktisch makellos beschreiben (ca. wie beim Swarovski, wobei dieses noch etwas mehr Sättigung und Kontrast hat).Richtung 60x kommt dann etwas Kontrastverlust und chromatische Aberrationen hinzu. Meiner Meinung nach hat man aber selbst bei 60x noch einen sehr guten Gesamtbildeindruck. WIe man sieht lassen sich Objekte noch einwandfrei erkennen (z.B. die Blume).Das 20-60 Okular ist sicher das praktischste aus der Reihe, da man Objekte bei 20x sehr leicht finden kann, um dann auf 60x zu zoomen. Beim 38x W gestaltet sich gefühlt die Objektsuche etwas schwieriger.

Super avec le prostaff5. J'observe les oiseaux , les martin prêcheurs s'observent super bien avec cette longue vue quand on les devine à peine à l'oeil nu.Bref très content. Le zoom maximum est très bon pour mon utilité d'amateur.

presa per controllare i colpi con la carabina.Devo ancora provarlo sul campo, ma con spotting scope prostaff 5 ottica da 82 ho portato il bersaglio a 300 m e ho verificato. I colpi di un 223 sul bianco si vedono abbastanza bene. Sul nero no. Forse un calibro maggiore si vedrebbe.

Lo compré, junto con un telescopio terrestre Nikon Prostaff 5 82-A, BDA321FA y un trípode, para regalar a un amigo biólogo aficionado a la observación de aves. No llegué a tenerlo en mis manos por lo que sólo puedo decir que está encantado. Como para no estarlo, VAYA REGALO!
