Sharing other cultures
These books are a must if our children are to begin to understand other cultures. They’re also fantastic in showing children from these cultures their relevance in a world that paints a negative view too often

A must-have
This should seriously be in every classroom. Absolutely loved the way the book was written, presented and illustrated. It’s split up into sections such as musicians, artists, activists and black pioneers in stem. It highlights black people in history who are not given the credit and recognition they deserve, and how their contributions have made such an impact on the world we live in today. It is also explained in simple, child-friendly language. I hope more people pick this up! I can’t wait to pick up the other books in the series.

An important topic for everyone
An excellent book highlighting the contributions to life in Britain by Black British people. I like to think of myself as fairly well informed, and yet there were people here I wasn't aware of.Short but informative texts, and well laid out with plenty of illustrations, this book is appealing and engaging. My one criticism is that some of the pictures aren't very flattering - even people I knew I found hard to recognise.

Great Teaching Resource
I got this book for my son's school to support their Black Curriculum endeavours. They were pleased to receive it and I'm sure it will be useful.
