Mariah Carey: A Legend
Mariah Carey is a legend. I was lucky enough to see her in Las Vegas. What I can say is she still has it. She was not always spot on live. Yet, she showed that she can still hit the notes and was a great entertainer.18 Number 1 songs. A record that is not likely to be broken anytime soon. She spent 79 weeks at #1. She ties Elvis Presley with this record, also. It's fun to have all of her hits on one CD. They started in 1990 and her most current number 1 was in 2008. I really like her new song, Infinity. It is about believing that even if things do not work out with someone, you will find your way in life. As Mariah sings: "I believe Infinity is more than just a made up dream."Mariah Carey will always be my favorite singer. Her voice is liquid soul, and expresses the range of emotions we feel in life. She is a legend because she has had hits in multiple decades and her reign lasted for so many years. The Voice, Mimi, The Elusive Chanteuse, whatever you call her she is the queen of R/B-Pop songs for the past 25 years.

THE BEST-SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME
I have bought the CD and I can't wait for the vinyl.Mariah Carey is a LEGEND who inspired many people's careers and I just can't seem to understand why people just love to hate on her nowadays. It's as if it's the new "cool" thing to do, everybody just hates on everything she does or wear or says just because it's cool and all the cool kids do it.Nevertheless, not even all the hate she's getting from trolls and the media can erase that UNPARALLELED talent and success she's had and continues to have. This is a great album for those who want to have all the hits in one CD (just like myself) to listen to at home or while driving. It's a great compilation and eventhough there's only one new song, I'm happy to own all the hits together. I have also ordered the european version with "Endless Love" and "Against All Odds" from Amazon UK.

Mariah Carey’s Career Showcase
#1 To Infinity showcases some of Mariah Carey’s emotional and superb songs throughout her career. There are 19 songs on this cd that capture various moments of her musical/professional progression such as the 90’s Dreamlover and the daring Touch My Body Track from 2008. There are also some star collaborations on her cd such as Fantasy feat. O.D,B, One Sweet Day feat. Boyz II Men, Heartbreaker feat. Jay Z. Then there are various songs that touch on a wide range of relationship experiences such as Emotions, Honey, Thank God I Found You, Hero, I’ll Be There etc. Overall, #1 To Infinity by Mariah Carey is perfect for those who are familiar with her music and/or are eclectic music lovers who also like 90’s and/or 2000’s music.

even though I already had her greatest hits cd and several albums
I purchased this when it was released, even though I already had her greatest hits cd and several albums. It has the newer song Infinity, which I bought separately before the cd came out. The sound quality on the MP3 download is very good, louder than some of the older recordings without being distorted. However, I can't give it 5 stars because she used the live Unplugged version of Someday instead of the single. I know she hates the song, but for fans, why not include the single version? Also, for fans of her earlier work, the 2 newer songs at the end aren't as good as the rest. But I do like Infinity.I'd say this cd is best for collectors and fans who want to hear the remastering, or for new fans who don't have her greatest hits yet.I'd like to hear her first four albums in remastered releases. Maybe with bonus tracks added. It would be so much better than more collections like this.

Classic album
I looked in my record collection and realized I had nothing by Mariah Carey. I bought this collection of her #1 hits. I grew up when she reigned supreme. I had forgotten how many hits she had. This album is amazing!

A heavily altered Carey. A far cry from her Vision Of Love, days.
Mariah saw her heyday in the 90's mainly 90-97. Her strongest efforts her first 3 albums 90-93. After the millennium came around felt with her approaching 30 & music changing, she compromised her real self right down to total surgical transformation & not meaning that in a good way. She was amazing both vocally & physically in 1990 her debut album. She like other artists of her genre felt the pressure to transform themselves to stay relevant next to the teen, Spears & Aguilera of the time. I bought this as a gift for a younger relative who grew up on her 2000+ songs. There are some tunes on here from the early days, but it's mostly songs from 2005 on. I much prefer her greatest hits with ballads from 90-97. Guess it just depends on what "Mariah" you grew up listening to.
