RealTruck Retrax RetraxONE XR Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | T-60243 | Fits 2019 - 2025 Dodge Ram 1500, Does Not Fit w/ Multi-Function (Split) Tailgate 5' 7" Bed (67.4")

First, it arrives in two boxes...Amazon apparently only allows one tracking number for the purchase. My boxes arrived hours apart. I installed the Retrax by myself without issue. I did this by putting the Retrax housing/canister/body/whatever-it's-called in the bed of the truck. I then raised/supported it using a sturdy box underneath. This allowed the screw holes for the side rails to be accessed. I then attached the side rails and removed the supporting box and set the Retrax in place. This is a lot easier than assembling it on the ground and trying to maneuver the entire system into the truck bed solo. Read the instructions first, it covers placement and alignment. This step is important before you tighten the clamps. Some talk about rattling on some of these reviews. I found there is a small amount when going 70+ when I have the rear window open. But, I'm not a fan of driving at 70MPH with the windows open so I'm not worried about that. All in all, it's a great addition to the truck.

I know the manufacturer says it doesn't fit the multi function tailgate but that is because their answer is based on the truck having the factor corner bracing, rightonbracket.com has brackets that can replace the factory bracing (its under specialty products) and the cover is able to fit after you change them out! there is also a video on youtube of someone installing it with a MFT. Took about an hour to install on my own, I put the box that it came in on the bed of my truck then put the canister on top of that, dropped it in after I put on the rails. Instructions were good and initial product quality is very good, happy with it so far!

Speeds above 60 cause a slight rattle. The build quality is nice. Going to work for security.Noticed while washing my cover is missing the felt slide protection on one railing. I’m trying to contact the seller to see what the deal is.

Poor design with the latch. This fits my 2020 Ram, but just barely. Combined with the fact that the latch is only on the left side, I get a pretty decent sized gap between the cover and the tailgate as the right side shifts, but the left side is stationary. I can pull the cover back to straighten it up which gets rid of the gap, but driving just causes it to shift again and opens back up. Honestly, had I known this would be an issue I would not have spent this much money.

The RETraxONE XR is a great bed cover. It was easy to install (about 30-minutes while watching an installation walkthrough on my tablet), and it works great. I love that it can lock in any position, and I can mount stuff over the top of the bed. It keeps most of the water out (I live in Seattle and have only had a few drops get in around the corners, which could be coming through the tail gate). The cartridge takes up some bed space and the drain tubes are a bit flimsy, but I’ve had no issues over all. Smaller items can slid under the cartridge (there is about 6-8” of space under the cartridge).

My cover has been leaking since day 1. Called Retrax and they basically said I can buy the pro series cover if I want waterproof. Price of junk for $1300. Don’t waste your money and you lose 1.5 feet of your bed space.

Great product no problems with install works as advertised. I installed it myself. Would buy again if I needed to.
