Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED (Renewed)

Very sharp lens wit exceptional corner sharpness. If you use filters forget this lens as it takes 144 mm filters. Yes expensive and you still need the adapter for the filters and it is expensive. I like it for early morning or late evening and I do mostly landscape.

There is no image stabilization (Nikon's VR system) nor is it intended for standard portraiture. It is capable of some stunning photography though. This lens is considered one of Nikon's Holy Trinity of lenses and justifiably so in my humble opinion. Drawbacks: a less than adequate lens cap solution nor lens filtering (F Mount)

While this lens is, as advertised, heavy it is well worth the investment. I've already had the opportunity to capture quite a few landscape photos and some pretty amazing wide angle pet photos.

The only thing missing was the instruction sheet from Nikon..wen on line and printed it. Bought the lens for my son Christmas present. He loves it. Cannot get a better review.

Didn't notice any scratches when I first got this lens. I used it once at my house to take practice shots and put the lens cover on and put it up. Used it yesterday for a wedding and when I went to edit the pictures there was an abberration in the pictures. I looked at the lens and there were two deep dents on the lense. I don't know if the dents were filled with something to cover them up or what. But these dents are deep and there was no way I bumped this lense. I was standing still at the wedding on the grass and I put the lens cover on when I was done and placed it in my camera bag. I can't prove those dents were there when I bought the lens. I honestly believed they were covered up because one would have to bang that lense awful hard to do that, and I just didn't use it like that. I used it for group shots and put it up. Something's fishy. Never again.
