Just what I needed, at a good price and customer service was great
I purchased the mayonnaise packets to have it available during extended power outages. Our small, extended family lives in SWFL with the possibility of hurricanes, or at the least their collateral effects, affecting the infrastructure. If we lose power, we can still make a number of meals combining the mayo with other proteins, veggies, etc. or making sandwiches. Years ago I used to purchase condiments packaged like this for Boy Scout camping trips and hot dog sales. My wife and I sampled two of the packets and they had that rich, distinctive Hellman's taste. Nice and fresh as if I had just cracked open a jar from the grocery. That will be good where the mayonnaise will be more noticeable in potato, chicken, egg, etc. salads. The packets are advertised at three-eighths ounce which turned out to be fluid ounces; that is about a tablespoon of mayo. It was enough to spread adequately over two pieces of bread. The bread was four by four inches (roughly) square. Your mileage will vary. The date on the packets was Nov0514 and on the invoice was written: "Best by 11-14 Expires 11-2015". After email discussions with a very helpful VegChef representative, I learned that the best-by date means that the full quality of the mayonnaise will be retained up to that point. The representative stated that the mayonnaise is still safe to eat up to the expiration date, though it may get a tad darker in color or may get thinner. The date that the mayonnaise is not safe to eat could be years after the actual expiration date. VegChefs errs on the side of caution in their estimation of when it is unsafe to eat—I am all for that. I plan on consuming it all before the expiration date anyway.I was a little surprised that the packets weren't packaged in a bag or similar, not just loose in the plastic-lined shipping envelope. Not a problem, but my first reaction was that the shipping envelope had opened in transit. A closer look at what might be their core business, B2B, and the loose packets make sense.Let's see, a good fresh product, inexpensively priced with a friendly, responsive staff--it doesn't require much thought on next steps. VegChefs supports animal sanctuaries and rescue efforts from the money they receive from sales on Amazon. That's icing on the cake for my wife and me.

Nasty
I have ordered this mayonnaise product before and did not have a problem until my February 2025 order. The oil was separated from the other (curdling) ingredients. When I tried to return/replace the item I was not allowed to do so - even after trying to "chat' the issue.

Need larger count.
The product is good. Just needs more packets, at least 100 per box.

Great hurricane /power outage supply
Keep these on hand for refrigeration outages! Add flavor to your canned tuna/chicken in small serving sizes while you wait days for power ;-)
