At last! The REAL English bluebells I've been looking for!
These have just come into flower & I am SO happy! These were incredible value and after having bought several lots of bulbs all described as Hyacinthoides Non Scripta, yet later finding when they were actually spanish bluebells... I was so relieved to find that these were FINALLY the native british bluebells that I have been so looking forward to growing in my garden. They are so beautiful compared to non-native hybrids or spanish bluebells. Such a rich deep purply blue colour, delicate and elegant with the loveely paralell sided flowers all hung over one side of the stem... its nice to know I might be helping this endangered species by growing it in my little garden. These were a fantastic price as well. Can't wait to buy even more next year!

One never knows when one plants bulbs how they will fare when spring arrives, but these have come up wonderfully and I am very pleased. Really lovely.

Excellent quality English bluebell bulbs and quick delivery!
Bought in Oct 2018 to fill a shady border and to attract more bees into our garden - received the bulbs very quickly. We actually received slightly more (103 bulbs) but three were very slightly damaged/slightly mouldy so we just chucked those ones which still left us with 100. Easy to plant so long as you identify the base of the bulb (flatter) versus the top (slightly pointy). We planted them in 10 groups of 10 in Nov 2018 (in our heavy clay soil) and then covered over the soil with small bark chippings. Every single bulb in each group is now sprouting vigorously (Feb 2019) - about one inch high so far. So chuffed with our purchase and can't wait to see them mature and flower and see the bees enjoying them. Highly recommend.

Disappointing
I didn't get as many grow as I expected. I have wild bluebells in my garden and they were far better. I'll have to see if they propogate.

Misleading description Apparently a hybrid
I bought 200 of these bulbs for a wild flower meadow. After spending a lot of time planting and cultivating, the flowers appear to be an english/spanish hybrid, NOT English bluebells as described. Im terribly disappointed at the misleading description. The photos show English bluebells, with their flowers on one side of the stem and a characteristic drooping manner. Those supplied have a pale blue colour, some have even come through pink, not the blue of an English bluebell and have flowers on both sides of the stem. I am gutted considering the amount of work we have done expecting that the description and photos of English bluebells was genuine. Many people probably wont realise these arent the genuine English bluebells, Id recommend you compare with illustrations.I have contacted the sellers but have not yet received a reply. UPDATE Suppliers apologised and refunded . I would urge everyone to check whether they have received hybrids as the English bluebell is being overtaken by these.
