My husband laughed at how excited I was when this cheerful red library-type step stool arrived but the next day the plumber used it to easily access a leaking water line in the ceiling and said it was awesome. I use it indoors for everything I’d normally need to get out a step stool for in the kitchen or a step ladder everywhere else.In the garage it makes detailing the cars easy, even reaching over the roof. Being able to maneuver it easily with one foot and climb up and down with multiple secure step spaces that are wide and wobble-free makes chores easy and faster. It is even comfortable to sit on and the textured rubber top and step area makes a sturdy platform to hold tools while you work.Finding it “used” at a discount on Amazon was just gravy!I wish I knew where to get replacement springy casters because I worry I’ll wear it out using it every day.

I'm short, and bought my first two Scooter Stools, AKA Task it, over 15 years ago. These are still used daily in two different family kitchens. Also good for sitting on when checking indoor/outdoor dogs for hitchhiking bugs/plant bits.

After accidentally kicking my old beige plastic step stool for the umpteenth time, I decided to look for something better. That one always seemed to be in the way and worse still, it blended right in, just waiting for us to stub our toes. And if we needed to use it, we had to bend over, pick it up and put it where we wanted.This stool is perfect! Not only is it red which is an accent color in my kitchen, but it is bright enough to be easily spotted. And it's on wheels so it's never in the way. I can just kick it aside if I need to. I can just use my foot and scoot it to where I want it to be. And the top of it is high enough that I can sit on it if I need to. I am disabled so I do need to sit down sometimes. It's the perfect height to sit on if I need to clean out my lower cupboards or the lower shelves/bins in my fridge. I only wish I had found this sooner!

This is easy to use and easy to kick out of the way when not in use... without touching it with hands. I use mine in the kitchen. If you're short like me you may be familiar with the issue of needing to move stools everywhere in the kitchen. If you're cooking, you don't want to touch one without washing your hands, and so you end up washing your hands constantly. This solves that.

Absolutely awesome and affordable product! After reviewing library stools ad nauseum I finally settled on this stool (in red) for several reasons:1. Lightweight2. Affordable... don't have to be married to the thing for the rest of my days!3. Soft lines... important considering it is being used in my home and not in a library or warehouse.4. Makes my 3-ish year old son feel "buff" as he can carry it if he chooses ;)5. Does what it says. Rolls with ease and immediately locks into place once you place some weight on it. It works well for a 6'5" person, a 5'7" person and a munchkin.I only gave it four stars because it doesn't roll very well on carpet as the locking wheels are not height adjustable. Not a deal breaker for us as our home is nearly all wood floors with area rugs. The other reason for the less than perfect rating is that it is so lightweight that a toddler needs to understand how it works so that the stool will not tip (a tiny bit) before getting onto the top step. Other than that, I say it is well worth the purchase.

I am in love with this thing! Strong moves around smoothly plus the gray and red matches my kitchen. No more lugging around step stools or climbing on counters!

The stool is fine, does what it says it should do, but the shipment of the product was rediculous as it was shipped in a three times size box, without packing material, it was rolling around while in shipment and a piece of the red plastic was broken when received. I tried to let Amazon know this, but there is no way to discuss issues...only to return, which I wasn't planning on doing as the stool still worked. I was just upset with the LACK of care taken in shipment process and the fact that I could not make a complaint about it or show picture of broken underside.

The compact size is convenient for tight spaces and still provides a stable platform even when standing on the top step. Spring loaded wheels make it easy to maneuver with only your feet.
