If you know how to use this product, it’s the best product in the world
OK harbor freight carries a $44 version that is OK for older trucks with a smaller depth of a tailgate if your tailgate is thicker than 3.78 inches you will need this product. The downside is you go up to $200+! So now think if 200 bucks is worth saving your back, saving the cleaning of your truck, speed and efficiency and the time that you spend at the dumps and 200 bucks is cheap compared to hydraulic options or really really nice versions of this unloader. If you are a working stiff and 200 bucks is a lot for a product that you’re only going to use a few times a year, This still is your product because now you’re gonna figure out how to use it even more if you can do things in 10 times the speed you start to get creative. I went to the dumps and spent more time showing people what it could do how efficient it was how simple it was how quick it was and the next thing you know it, people were grabbing my number to see if they could borrow it. Some people on YouTube give us a bad name because they have the wrong approach. If you have a truck bed with rubber liner, you are going to have to put down a sheet of tarp and or a piece of plywood. Also, do your best to keep everything centered and you won’t have any problems. It takes a little practice getting used to once you understand how it works, you’re gonna love it. It’s worth 200 bucks. If you have an older truck, the $44 version may be easier on your pocketbook, but it does not move as easy and smoothly as his product, but it still works in theory. The reason why I gave it four stars is because it does not fit the top of my tailgate totally perfect. It looks unstable, but it’s only in appearance..

Pleasant Surprise, 2011 Ram 1500...Works Great,Few Suggestions
Let me start off by saying i purchased the harbor freight version of this first, that does not fit the oddly shaped tailgates on the Ram 1500: returned that and went with this..I am glad it didn't fit this load handler although more money is constructed far superior to the junk I returned, its fully adjustable and fits great as well..Its constructed of steel instead of plastic and has bearings instead of makeshift plastic bushings..So as far as its construction i give it an A+,I did read about spray liners being a problem with heavier loads as well as product making its way off the drag sheet,so what I did was purchased a piece of 3/8 duraply(very smooth and handles elements well)and laid it into the bed(that takes care of the spray liner problem)next before pulling the drag sheet out I lay a blue tarp down,I like to come up and over the bedsides, next I lay the drag sheet down on top of tarp.I now load my product, mulch, firewood soil etc etc...I cover the product with the excess tarp that was laying over the bed sides....Ok time to unload,a dream..open up tarp, install crank handle, crank out product, whatever falls off drag sheet is caught in tarp, not a lot but some, when done cranking the drag sheet you just pull out the tarp removing whatever remaining product or debris....now my truck is a 1500 I am not crowning the bed with gravel or soil but good loads non the less..It works great and you will be glad you got it,not to mention the time you save,as well as your back...Just one more suggestion, when your done using it take it off the truck dont leave it on:what happens is dust and debri gets under the foam on the steel mounts and will scratch your tailgate in short order....Hope this Helps, good luck

Load Handler Install and Use
I was a little leery on ordering for a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Shortbed Pickup because it has the bowed out tailgate and I wasn't sure about the thickness measurement. Not to worry. The bracket legs are attached to the bearing main plate by one bolt, each side, through the bracket leg in a long slot to allow for tailgate thickness differences. It also allows the outer bracket to swivel to match the curve of the tailgate so it lies flat on the outside curve. The outer bracket leg is also angled (not 90 deg.) to allow for the slope of the top of the tailgate. Installation was easy following the directions. The only not included items were 2 1''x1" wood blocks to hold the brackets off the tailgate cap during installation. It would be helpful to have a second person available to provide tension on the drag sheet when initially rolling it on the roller and assist holding the assembly during final fitting. Once assembled and fit, one person can pop it off and on again. The only difficult chore is threading the hold down straps through the tailgate- bed joint. Patience rules. In use when going to dump, it is best to attach the bumper tie downs to the hold down straps while the tailgate is up and then lower the tailgate, hook the bottom of the bumper, and snug them up. That way you don't have to crawl under the lowered tailgate. My second use involved just shy of 900lbs of dirt and the cranking with one hand while the other was hanging on to the top rear edge of the tailgate and the going was somewhat stiff, yet very doable. All in all, The unit worked as advertised and is a lot less expensive than a dump bed trailer. Just remember to keep everything clean (a whisk broom comes in handy at the dump site). It is nice to have a Double Mat. They clean up very easily and elevate the drag surface so excess material stays off to the side.

Don't invest in this product
Very disappointed in this product . Although it does unload the bed of the truck the drag sheet is very cheap and is already fraying at the edges. The drag sheet is held onto the bar with only a few pieces of tape which was not enough to go the entire length of the bar . One of the end caps fell off during travel . I am disappointed in the quality of this item. I would not buy from this company again .
