The insert is a thinner plastic than the rest of the set.

Q: Product info says it is 36.16 inches long. that would not make it pocket size. lol. what are it’s dimensions?

I didn't get the set with metallic colors. But the set I did get would fit into a pocket...maybe 4.5 x3.5 inches. (I bought it as a present and no longer have it to measure.)
