Ford Genuine GB5Z-78045A36-AA Console Vault, 1 Pack

Bought this for my wifes 2019 Explorer Platinum. It fit with no issues. So east to install and it is worth the money. Only four bolts to install. Simply remove the plastic cover between the two bucket seats, set the console over it and line up the rear two bolts. Put the bolts in but do not tighten all the way. For the front two bolts I simply used my drill with a small bit and drilled thru the carpet just enough to get the two bolts started. Put them in and then snugged the bolts a little at a time to get the console to sit down tight. Took about 10 minutes and I was done. It is solid, functional, and improves the inside appearance. Highly recommend it.

Put this in a 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum. Was concerned about the fit but it was no problem. Did not want to cut the carpet so I didn't use the screws on the front of the unit, just used the back screws. It is nice and secure with no problems wobbling or shifting. The only downside to installing the console is that you lose the "walkthrough" to the rear seats. Ours are rarely used so its not an issue. The console also serves as an arm rest for the second row passengers, which is nice. Definitely worth the money.

5 stars for functionality and ease of installing. My only "issue", and it's minor, but the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the stitching is black. We have a platinum 2017 and the console in the front has white stitching. It took me having it installed and really looking at it to notice, but now that I have I cant unsee it.

Purchased this from Fairway Ford via Amazon for my 2016 Explorer Limited. Be careful when buying the center consoles for your specific year Explorer as the part numbers vary by only a letter. I mistakenly ordered #DB5Z-78045A36-AA thinking it was for my 2016 but found out it was for 2011-2015 Explorers. #GB5Z-78045A36-AA is for the 2016-2017 Explorer models. Once I realized my mistake Fairway Ford was very understanding, refunded fully very quick and I was able to order the correct one #GB5Z-78045A36-AA from them. I certainly look forward purchasing from them again.Once you are able to locate the 2 front bolt holes (located under carpet which you will need to do a little cutting to expose the bolt holes), this 2nd row center console fits perfectly and looks very nice.

Received the console in only a few days and was very easy to install. It looks as if it was factory installed. The best price around and a quality product.

I absolutely love it. It fits perfectly and matches the front one. The compartment is very large, which I love. You can never tell it did not come with the SUV to begin with. I only put the back 2 screws right now since I did not want to cut the carpet and it was dark outside when I installed it, so will probably do later. I did have to cut a section of my 3rd row floor Husky floor mat but it had lines where to cut so it was not a problem. The SUV always looked like it was missing something but no more. LOVE LOVE LOVE.....

Bought this console to place in a 2018 Ford Explorer that had middle bucket seats but no console between the seats. The console took about 30 minutes to install. I did not have to cut any carpet. Instructions and four bolts come with the new console. This console was black with NO red stitching.
