Q: Does this come already inflated?

It does not come inflated. A hand pump and plug is provided in the package and it takes about 2 to 3 minutes to inflate. It is a very simple set up.

Q: The product didn’t come with instructions or plug. How do you get one sent to you?

I went online and ordered a plug. Just blow it up and carefully insert plug!

Q: I know some training equipment uses different colors to differentiate resistance, size, etc. Is that the case here or are the colors only cosmetic?

The patents describes this as having pressure based resistance. The amount of inflation you use should be based off of the weight of a person using it. The manufacturer has instructions on how to calculate this. The durability of the material is the same regardless of color, and designed to support maximum load, in this case it's 250 pounds.

Q: Does it work for strengthening weak ankles?

It is used in physical therapy for tendinitis, so it is used to strengthen weak ankles by balancing. It is often used flat side up for more difficulty, too.
