Absolutely. Each and every Vital Essentials product is made in our very own facility located in Wisconsin. Our manufacturing facility proudly carries the Global Food Safety Initiative FSC22000 Certification and is EU and Gluten-Free certified.

The FDA recommends washing your hands after handing any raw food, including freeze-dried pet foods.

Q: Is it normal for raw freeze dried food to have an aroma?

Yes! Since our foods are made with high levels of meat, you can expect the food to have a meaty aroma. Some proteins have a more noticeable aroma than others.

Q: What if my pet has tummy issues after eating raw freeze dried food?

Any change in diet comes with a chance of digestive upset. This is why we recommend a slow transition over the course of 5-7 days when changing your pet's food! This helps give your dog or cat plenty of time to adjust to his or her new diet.
