Hi Nobeach. The LaCroix lemon sparkling water can reads natural flavorings and does not list artificial flavorings. I would hope there is not any artificial citric acid or compounds. It does taste natural in comparison to others so perhaps it is a natural sparkling water.

Q: Is this made with real lemon juice?

The beverage is described as flavored from flavors that are "naturally essenced". As a Chemical engineer that appears to indicate they begin with natural oils, juices and modify them slighly to remove bitterness or acidity I prefer LaCroix as it definitely tastes natural. Many lemon waters certainly do not taste as good or as natural. So? While it's true that LaCroix does not state it's only natural ingredients, I feel their flavorings are likely more natural than most and indeed they may be 100% natural but that's not what is on their label.
