Fixed leaky hansgrohe shower
This fixed our shower. One day we noticed it was starting to drip all the time. Two weeks later it didn't get as hot as usual. Then it started leaking inside the wall. There were individual shutoff valves on both inlets though, which was helpful. 4mm allen, quarter turn valves. I have hated this shower valve since we bought this house, it was always very stiff and the temperature adjustment was virtually impossible to turn. With the new cartridge it works smoothly and the temperature adjustment works. $150 is more than a whole new Delta shower kit, but I didn't want to deal with trying to cut the pipes, etc with the shower tile intact.

Picture not representative (It was Better)
When I ordered this item I was skeptical due to the photo in the listing as it has scratches and appears to be missing the blue o-ring needed. The product arrived earlier than stated, arrived in perfect shape with o-rings and protective covers, instructions in appropriate protective wrap etc. This is a quality product compared to newer shower valves and helped me not have to replace the entire shower valve only the cartridge. Please note this cartridge must be installed very carefully and in line with the tightening sequence provided in the box. Some older models of hansgrohe faucets do not have the alignment notch at the top of the cartridge. Downloading the instructions from manufacturer it instructs for you to mask off the cartridge with painters tape and carefully file off the notch for older models. I did this very carefully then cleaned any residue carefully from the shower valve body and then installed the cartridge in the proper screw sequence using hand tools only. Turned the water supplies back on and this worked perfectly. Only constructive criticism on this item is the instructions came in four languages none of them english....this is easily remedied by downloading hansgrohe TB1 installations instructions and using the torque pattern provided.

replacement works great. my complaint is that i'm having to replace it all.
yes this replacement works great. no leaks and fits the hansgrohe perfectly. my complaint is that i'm having to replace it all. the old one last only five years, and after a year the handle was very difficult to turn. i'd have to pull off the cartridge and fully clean everything about once a year. plumbing this expensive should last 20 years before servicing, and overall should last 50 years.

very well constructed
Exactly what was need to repair the mixer. Just had to slightly file down part of the plactic housing in order for the cartridge to fit properly.

MUST KNOW IF YOU HAVE AN OLDER VALVE ROUGH
This cartridge ultimately worked for me, HOWEVER, if you have an older valve rough (i.e. one that is perfectly round) you will need to file-off the little plastic "bump" on the top of this cartridge in order for the cartridge to fit in the rough. Apparently, the newer roughs have a groove for the hump to slide into. The older roughs, like mine do not. DO NOT file of the "stub" at the base of the cartridge, just the little round hump. I spoke to someone at Home Depot who offered some great advice - use a fine metal file to file down the plastic hump and use blue painter tape to tape around the hump so that you don't scratch the metal. It will work - just take your time. Good luck!

Easy replacement
Took the bad cartridge out put back in this new cartridge in, that is all it takes to fix the water leaking problem. German product quality.I received the second cartridge for another shower room, will install it shortly. I have confidence it will work very well.

Great Thermo Cartridge
Last one I just replaced lasted for more than 15 years. This is a great product, i love the increased pressure of water especially if your shower head/s (i have two installed) and handheld shower come with different features.
