Monteverde USA Quadro 4-in-1 Multifunction Pen - Brass Finish - Three Ballpoint Refills & 0.5mm Pencil - Solid Brass Barrel with Knurled Grip - Refillable & Durable

I was looking for a multi-function pen (to simplify my pen "wardrobe" when traveling), and after considering other options decided to get this Monteverde model. This pen is well made, rigid with no flex, has just the right amount of heft to it, and the color/lead switching buttons operate smoothly. I particularly like 3 things about it: (1) The diameter of this multi-function pen is just like many regular pens, i.e. not too thick. (2) The styling has a clean, modern "instrument" look to it -- very purposeful looking yet elegant. (3) The quality of the ball point pens in it is high, writing very smoothly right from the start, with lines that are full and even (no blank part in the middle of the line as with some ballpoint pens), yet without building up an ink ball at the tip as it can with some other "wet" ball points (think Mont Blanc). For this very fair price, you get a great looking pen that writes well -- honestly I'm surprise there were only 2 previous reviews. This makes for a nice pen for myself (not just a travel pen, but it has become one of my daily pens -- and I normally write with fountain pens as I find ballpoint pens uninteresting; not the case here!), as well as a nice gift for others. Pen is nice all metal copper quad pen. Has a beautiful shine, a knurled grip area and a gravity operating system. I just wish the pen was a bit heftier but otherwise a really nice instrument. This coming from a man who owns well over 100 pens.

For a very long time, I have wanted a quality pen that can hold three colors of ink and one lead insert. This Monteverdi USA Quadro 4-in-1 Multifunction pen is exactly what I was looking for. I got it in silver and it is sleek, solid and perfect. No rattling. I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this pen.

I have used this same multi-function pen before. The versatility for me to be able to use 4 different writing instruments almost instantaneously has become my preferred pen. Work or play, it is used daily.

I am stunned that this Monteverde product is of absolutely no value to me! I have always found this economical branch of the Mont Blanc familyto be of good quality & dependable. This pen is utterly worthless! As I first began to try out the four functions I could see it was not working well. This cheap feeling pen literally broke in my hand before I had a chance to return it. I am stunned that Monteverde would put its name on this product! (As a point of reference, while working full time I used the same Mont Blank pen for 23 years. I am not hard on pens!)

The pen has everything I was looking for with the 3 color options and the pencil. My main problem is the pen is assembled where the threaded barrel that is unscrewed to change pen refills to the main part is press fitted and mine came loose within the first week of use so the barrel comes off constantly. I'm trying to glue it on because I like the pen itself. One other small issue is there is not a reserve of graphite.

Very nice pen. Feels good. Writes well! I wish the grip around it was a bit more contoured, but it's still good.

Very Disappointed. Kept this as a backup, just pulled it out of desk as my previous pen 'bit the dust' after 12 years of use. This barrel is not threaded, just a poor push together design. Pencil lead breaks off easily with no way to easily remove jammed piece of lead. Sadly this is not worth the investment.
