I'm a little saddened that Whitmor lent its name to this, because the quality is not up to par with Whitmor products of old. It's not a bad shoe rack...but it's also not the best. For the price I expected higher quality materials. On one hand, it's a decent shelf, it's sturdy and well made. But on the other, it's not the best material. You're not buying this for the long haul, let's put it that way. You'll get a few good years out of it with conscious care, but it's flimsy enough that something will give sooner rather than later. I'm not mad at is, and I do like it, but I'm giving it a cynical side-eye for not being the strong, sturdy Whitmor quality of a few years ago.

I like everything about it but, unfortunately, it does not fit every door. There has to be some space between the door and the frame-head on top, or else the door does not close. That's what happened here at my house. the doors close tightly up to the frame. No space for the holders over the door, so the door does not close. When it has to be closed, I have to loosen the holders and move the whole thing back over the top of the door. Note that it is quite heavy with 26 pairs of shoes, so it's not easy to take them down. This is a drawback. Or else I would have bought more than only one.

This shoe organizer is so much better than any that I've tried in the past! Tons of space, and I haven't even filled it yet. The shoes don't fall out if you bump it or open and close the door. The best part about this shoe organizer for me is that the shoes slide into the sleeves, protecting them from dust unlike the open pocket ones (I live in a desert climate and dust is inevitable). The sleeves fit my size 9 shoes perfectly from tennis shoes to sandals,, and I can fit multiple pairs of flip flops in one compartment. As simple as the three hangers are, hanging it was a little bit of a challenge by myself because the little hangers kept falling out, but with another hand, it went on the door just fine.

I bought this to use for my small resale shop. Overall, it's okay. Will do the job but the build and design quality is lacking.Likes:- High capacity for an over the door storage option- Clear front for easy viewing- Side entry vs top (less opportunity for dust to get on shoes)- InexpensiveDislikes:- Cheaply made. On the back, the holes for the brackets are cut into the fabric with no grommets. I don't expect this to last that long- If your shoes are on the larger side, dont expect to fit the pair in a single compartment. Most of what you see in my pic are women's dress shoes, size 5.5-6.5. Tennis shoes, men's shoes, larger ladies shoes, expect 1 shoe per compartment.- The over the door brackets fit poorly. As a result, I couldn't hang this on the side I preferred. The corners stuck out too much and bent upward. You can see what I mean in the pics.

I had such high hopes for this storage, I bought it to put my bras in, to free up drawer soace. Perfect fit, great idea, but the product is poorly made, the eyes tore immediately, no grommets for reinforcement. The over the door hooks supplied will not allow the door to close properly without scuffing the frame, thank goodness I wasn't using it for shoes! They are heavier than bras! There is no good use for this product, had thought to place it in my sewing room to try and use, newp, total fail. What a shame.
