Much less mess with this food bowl. Extra hole in base is "normal."
As another reviewer observed, when my cat eats from this bowl there is much less mess on the floor for me to clean up. Whoo hoo!The magnet design is very simple and very clever.The first unit I received had an extra hole in the base. I thought somebody got careless with a drill or something so I returned it as defective. The replacement has a hole in the same location. I sent a message to the seller who told me it doesn't affect functionality (it doesn't) and is just part of the manufacturing process. With modern manufacturing processes today leaving an unnecessary hole in a product strikes me as careless or sloppy design. Minus one star.

No more food spills!
I am absolutely in love with this product. I use raised Necoichi bowls, and my cat would topple them over immediately, even the large, heavy ones. It was so annoying! I've tried lots of raised bowls, but none were weighted enough for her, the little fiend! I ordered this elevated tilted cat bowl even though people said the bowl was too small. The metal frame is solid and the ring perfectly holds lots of different bowls, including the Necoichi. This is the very best of all worlds. I love it, and she can't spill it!

Take minimum floor space
I like the design how these feeders are made. They take less floor space, dish is heavy and sturdy, and most important I don’t kick it around when walking by.

Works great and fits our existing bowls
The feet hold it in place well so it doesn’t move around at all. I like that I can adjust the height of the bowl. Fits our existing bowls which was a must since I have 10 of them.

Ceramic bowl
The magnet is pretty sturdy, and the platform doesn't really budge. The height it perfect for my kitty, and is easy enough to clean. Very pleased that the bowl is ceramic and not plastic.
