It works. Helped get me out of a floor situation by others and it looks like Bstman"s utility belt when worn.

This belt provides support and safety for someone with an unsteady gait or other issues.
We have a senior adult with Parkinson's and Orthostatic Hypertension, this belt has been amazing. We are able to help her up from bed or when she's sitting, without holding her arms, which was starting to cause her pain sometimes. And whenever she walks, around the house or outside, someone is always within reach and able to grab her "safety belt" (as we call it), to help her balance or sit her down.This belt will fit various sizes. Our person is only 78 lbs., so we pulled the straps tight and used tie wraps to anchor the excess length to the belt. It is comfortable enough that she doesn't even notice it any more. The multiple hand grips make it's functionality better, as we can grab the belt from any side. It is easy to clip on, but not easy for the wearer to remove. Definitely a great value for the cost.

Vast Improvement
Overall this belt works much you would expect. The only problem that I noted is that it is not going to fit very small patients or very large ones. Those patients that it has been used for say that it is mostly comfortable (only a little awkward feeling at first). As the caregiver, I find that it is far and away better than what the facility gave me to use, which had no handles and was very thin, not something I would feel secure in if it was used on me. This has multiple handles making it much easier to use. It also makes it safer for both the patient and the provider. I wish we had one of these when I had to have back surgery. It probably would have been a much better option for my caregivers at home to help me with.
