Awesome
I thought these things would rip but they are really strong and you can keep them anywhere because they take up very little space and very light. Keeps heat contained.

Standard Mylar foil "space blanket"
These are just what you would expect, Mylar emergency foil blankets. If you have no experience with these they are pretty much just shiny plastic blankets. They are very shiny and if its sunny they can be very easy to spot from a distance. If it is not sunny the blanket just reflects the surrounding background and can be quite hard to see. They do a really good job of blocking the wind and keeping in warm air if you get them wrapped tightly. They do reflect IR heat and make great liners to bush shelters. As far as being "warm" there are a lot of mixed opinions and experiences with these being effective in rescue operations. I think that they are good for very short periods of time to help keep the patient dry, great for ground barriers between the patient and snow and a stand in until the real equipment gets there.20 years of backcountry rescue here and I carry at lest two of these in each of my kits for patients. These are very cheap and disposable so they are great for giving to patients while we are waiting on the rest of the equipment and I don't care if I get them back or if they get bloody. But I do not rely on them for hypothermia treatment they are just a small tool in a big bag.

Good emergency blanket
These mylar blankets are lightweight and compact. Each one is individually packaged in a resealable plastic bag. But once you open it, you are unlikely to get it folded up and back in the bag. They should be considered a single-use item. Their compact size makes them great to keep in the car or emergency kit for those just-in-case situations. They are also good for backpacking and can be used in various ways. The size is large enough to be useful. At a quantity of 10 these are a good value.

Keep these in your go bags and emergency boxes.
Great value for the money and it is a great addition to our emergency kit. It isn't too heavy individually but they are packed well to throw in a backpacking pack or leave in a couple vehicles for emergency. Easy to use, rip the pack open and get yourself warm.
