Q: Can this be used instead of Vetmedin?

All medications have side effects. Anyone that thinks otherwise is NOT doing their research and is being bumfuzzled by their big pharma vet. Vetmedin can cause death and also cause the heart to race. It has the exact same side effects as CHF. SO pay close attention to your dog. I am not saying it isnt needed but it CAN have some uncommon side effects...and in some cases rare side effects.

Q: What does the Siberian Ginseng do? I thought it could increase heart rate?

I have read it is used for conditions of the heart such has high blood pressure, low blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, and rheumatic heart disease. This supplement is excellent! My little King Charles mix was diagnosed with a stage 2/3 heart murmur one year ago. I bought this supplement and have been giving it to her daily for a year. She just went to the Vet and the Vet said her murmur is now a stage 1!!!! I recommend this product!

Q: Do they ha e this in a liquid form? I cant get it down my dogs throat without him swallowing it whole even with pill pockets.

Hi there and thanks for the question. It is perfectly all right for your dog to swallow the tablet whole, the ingredients will still be absorbed. If you prefer, you can crush the tablets to make it even easier for him, though it is not necessary.

Q: Can this be used in addition to prescription heart meds?

I gave this to our little Shih Tzu, Smoki, and I can't help but feel that it helped her for as long as it was possible. Sadly, we lost her last January, but she had a wasting disease due to her inability to digest proteins. She finally stopped eating, and we had to take her in to the vet. Nearly killed us. But I do think these helped her, heart-wise.
