Really love how not only can the brightness be adjusted but the colour tone too, the bend and twist makes for an extremely practical and versatile light solution.I use for Reading, crafts as well as mood lighting. I shod imagine it would be good for photography too.It's very stable when adjusting and easy to move about

This does go the job and is fairly heavy but looks a bit cheap. It's a basic led light strip in a casing. It's bright enough but the light has hot spots which spoils the effect. I'll admit i'm super fussy about these things and when you have something thats £40+ it really should be perfect.I wanted this for me but it will annoy me so i've let the kids decide which one of them gets it! It's a shame as i would have gotten more had it performed as i wanted.

In the box you get the lamp head, the stem, ( in three pieces ), the power brick, weighted base and instruction sheet. The lamp itself is very easy to assemble, simply screw the three stem pieces together, screw the stem into the base, ( please be aware that the stem piece with the knurled ring at the top is the top stem ), screw the led unit to the top of the stem, plug it in and you're good to go. The top stem is adjustable height wise, simply unscrew the ring counter clockwise, raise the stem to the required height then turn the ring clockwise to lock the stem in place. The led unit has an adjustable goose neck and the led strips/paddles can be moved backwards and forwards. On the power lead you have a control unit with four buttons on it, you have the on/off button, ( when the unit is plugged in and the led's are off the button glows blue ), the colour tone button, ( three tones, natural, white and warm ) the other two buttons are for dimming/brightening the lamp, ( - and + buttons ). Now the only thing that i can fault with this item is the power brick, it just feels extremely light and poor quality, time will tell. Other than that it's a really nice floor lamp.

I’m really happy with this, at the price.It arrives simply packed in a brown card box, and is simple to assemble, with no tools required. The base is very heavy, so it feels very stable in use, and I like the flexibility to lift or lower the height of the light very easily via a single screw-tightener, according to your needs. It’s smart and minimalist, and though I would have liked to have seen better diffusion on the bulb covers, the amount of ight that this unit can throw is impressive.You can so very nearly fit the cable down the interior of the central strut, and given that there’s a small connector in the cable at the base of the light anyway, I would have loved to see the in-line switch moved from the upper to the lower cable, so that the power cable could be neatly threaded down the centre of the main strut to come out of a hole drilled into the main strut near the base. It would just give the light a far more sleek and high-end look, rather than have a black plastic cable dangling down in plain view for the length of the light, as the cable is never neat and always has visible kinks, making it look a little messy. I should mention that it’s a little confusing on the measurements, but the maximum height from the floor to the actual light bars is165cm.The head does feel a little bit plastic-y when you’re moving it, but I do appreciate the amount of flexibility that you have to arrange the light as you please. I do feel like the one thing they’ve missed is the ability to swivel the two light bars as well as angle them. It would give so much more flexibility in use, for so little effort on the manufacturer’s part. Hopefully they’ll incorporate that on the next version. Unfortunately mine also came with some silver paint smeared on the plastic cover for some reason, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to remove it.Being mains powered means that on full power the lights are very strong, and will illuminate a room, making them perfect for fine detail hobby work. you You can reduce the light in increments using the small control unit which is set in-line on the light cable, so you can have everything from super-bright to a lovely warm glow. You can also turn the light from cool daylight to a lovely warm yellow for evenings.In all I’d say this is a great light for a craft room, giving a lot of possibilities in terms of brightness and colour temperature, as well as the position and height of the light. The price seems about right for the quality, and its unintrusive minimalist style fits in anywhere. Very happy with this, and have used it every night since unpacking it.
