these are fun to play with. however, they only work to about 20 feet. after that you can no longer receive transmissions. i do not recommend for large houses and outside use

I never saw the kids the rest if the night, but I heard them in these walking talkies...they had a ball. Installing the 9v batteries was a pain so get ready for that part(have a tiny screw driver ready) and buy the batteries. Doesn't come with.

Most annoying toy for me but NOT for my grandson- he loves it. LOL - so they are fine. Not expensive but perfect for a 4 year old.

Why can't I give ZERO stars?! Doesn't work, just sends static back and forth from 2 feet, 3 feet, 10 feet, etc. Worthless garbage. Waste of money. My kids were excited to get these for Christmas, so obviously, that makes it worse.

As previously mentioned in other posts they only work in close range and make a horrible crackling sound if not currently being used. This tends to be kind of a good thing because it always forces you to switch them off if not being used. My nephew is four so he didn't care that they didn't work really well he just loved the Batman design. If you're trying to buy a walkie-talkie for an older child I would not recommend them. If I had to buy them again I would not pay more than $5.
