Really 4.5 Stars
Not quite a full 5, but a very solid 4-1/2.Very nice multi-functional unit with conventional soldering capabilities as well as a hot air gun for (removing) circuit board (SMD - Surface Mounted Device) components. The soldering iron temperature seemed like it needed to be a bit high before it readily melted solder (~650 degrees) vs. with our other soldering iron it's ~500-550 degrees (or so it says). Not a big deal.Nice assortment of tips for the hot air gun to tailor delivery of the hot air stream and three conventional soldering iron tips.Good quality / well made. Works well.Highly recommended!

Great but pricey
As someone who has owned multiple soldering irons over the years, I can confidently say this unit is a game changer. Combining a soldering iron and a heat gun into a single control station has been incredibly convenient, especially for my projects. The soldering iron heats up quickly, and the different tips (small, medium, and large) makes it great for different tasks. The heat gun is equally impressive, with adjustable airflow that’s great for heat-shrink tubing and post-processing 3D prints without melting them! I’ve also used this station extensively for quadcopter builds, where precise heat application and reliable soldering are a must. The controls are straightforward, and the LED display makes it easy to adjust temperatures on the fly. The built-in stand and tip storage are nice touches, keeping everything organized esp when doing 3d prints and needing to swap to heat gun and then a tip to heat set a 3m screw point. If you’re into 3D printing, electronics, or other DIY projects, this station is a solid investment. It has made my workflow so much smoother and more efficient. It is costly however at 300 it seems like some minor things like the rubber catch like others have mentioned on mine was pulled back in shipping as well. Not sure if its how it was packed it kinked the hose or not to slip but it was an easy fix.

Great for Hobbyists
This is a great soldering iron with a decent heat gun. It is very user friendly, it heats up quickly, the tips are very easy to change out with a decent variety of tip sizes (small, medium, and large), and it comes with a nice stand. It performs very well, heating up large solder jobs with ease. It honestly works great. The heat gun also works pretty well, with multiple air settings. For the price, it is a decent soldering iron, even if it is a bit pricey.

So far, so good
This is my first hot-air rework station, so I can't really compare it to other models, but so far I'm liking it. I haven't encountered any issues using it so far. If I do, I'll follow up here.

Easy to set up and use
PROS: Nicely designed unit with large clear LED readouts (separate readings and setting for hot air or soldering), love the swap on the fly "while hot" tip holders for both the air and soldering wands, includes 3 various sized soldering tips and 5 hot air tips, thin sponge and brass wool style cleaners, and a short clamp on grounding wire, both sides heat up fast and auto reduce to cooler settings when not in use, hot air wand can blow cool air too. Soldering wand has temp adjustment buttons built in so you can change settings on the fly. Works great for any heat shrinking work and could also work well with most hot glue sticks too...CONS: The soldering station section is separate and the wand fits loose in the holder, allowing the hot tip to touch the upper section of the removal plate if not precisely put back in the holder, it's easy to hit the soldering temp "+-" buttons while working especially in tight quarters, the tips do not retain as much heat nor allow fast solder distribution over large wire joint areas, like soldering 8 - 20 gauge wires with one 14 gauge wire all at once-seems to be too much copper at once for good heat distribution-(my 50 year old old Weller station doesn't have issue with this). seems the temp computer has an issue with large copper areas, or the tip itself is simply to thin without enough mass to hold the heat long enough). The hot air hose assembly is short and kept coming apart at the mounting junction (the spring and the hose keeps falling off the plastic mounting plug and exposing the wires) a longer hose with a better clamping mechanism would have been nice. New C245 replacement or addition types of tips are expensive. Overall a good value for superior digitally indicated temp controls on both hot air and soldering needs. Could make a nice gift.

A well-designed and solidly built product.
I have been using a soldering gun as well as a hot air gun for my projects for quite some time and was attracted to the idea that both could be combined into one unit. The wide range of tips for both the soldering iron and the hot air gun are generous. The station is designed to store each of the tips, so they are not easily lost. The cleaning sponge is very handy as well. When soldering tips get excess solder on them, the cleaning sponge saves time and promotes cleaner soldering. The controls at first look a bit complicated, but after using them for only a short time, they become intuitive and easy to use. Both devices heat up quickly, and the display gives you the temperature within a wide range of about 200 degrees Fahrenheit to almost 850. This is a nice soldering and hot air station, and while I used it on my office desk, it is perfect for the workbench. This is a well-designed and solidly built product that is a great addition to any workshop.

COMPARISON WITH WELLER AND HAKKO
I own both Weller and Hakko soldering and desoldering stations. I would say that the Weller and Hakko are clearly far better quality than this. They are a lot heavier! Their buttons are more substantive, and their accessories are better finished. This just feels cheaply built, somewhat dinkey, and incredibly light. However you have to consider the value. For the value, you would not find any similar Weller or Hakko that does what this does. The determining factor will be how long this thing holds up, which obviously will take some years of use to determine. If you are a hobby or occasional user, this may be all you need. For regular use, definitely get a Weller or Hakko.
