Q: Where was this manufactured/made? Is it imported & from where(if so)?

It was made in china. These chairs much like most the other Respawn, Gtracer, etc-etc-etc chairs on hear are all literally sourced from the same factories and rebadged. If you want one just pick whichever listing is cheapest - and if you only buy American made or made in a European country, then skip these. They are made in china from Chinese materials by Chinese labor. That is why they are so affordable in many instances. Their quality appears to be fine, but you didn't ask about that. You care about where they are from which has its own merits some on here can't comprehend.

Dear customer, our chair is equipped with a leather round base, which is safer and more reliable than wheels when you switch to recliner mode.

Dear customer, because the upper part of the chair is heavy, for your safety, we do not recommend you to use other gas lift.

I would recommend NO for this chair. Plus, the chair sits low for a desk. If you plan to use it as a seating chair or gaming chair, it would be fine. It would be fine for his height, but feet would stick off the end of the footrest.
