Seeing how expensive a replacement was going to be I found this and it fits and works perfectly!

When I got the kit lens, I was wondering what I would do without a lens shade. I use them on all my other lens and I feel they offer a little bit of protection against the occasional bump. This fits the lens perfectly and seems well made. The adapter ring seems to be made of metal. This does the trick and reverses nicely so when the lens is retracted, the shade doesn’t as much to the size. Great purchase.

Finally I found a hood for the sony 28 60 zoom. It looks great but does not fit firmly. I can leave with it in order to control flare and contrast.

It’s a good product for my Sony Alpha 6000.

Las especificaciones del producto no eran lo suficientemente claras al momento de la compra. Cuando llegó, resultó ser demasiado grande para el lente y no fue compatible.

I don't know why they refer to this as Sony. It's better than that in the sense that it will work on most any lens with the correct diameter Could be Canon or Fujifilm, choosing by random. It twists onto the screw on adapter. There is a tad bit of play but it's not mission critical. Some people will like the twist off rather than the longer process of screwing off the lens hood. It's quicker than screw off and the adapter is not in the way at all. It works for me. Yes. I do recommend this product.
