Conditioning and color!
I love this product for maintaining my blonde. It was important to me that this was also super conditioning, and it has not disappointed me. Be aware that the purple is very pigmented and may get on your shower curtain/wall. It is easy to clean off, but I've found that my next shower I always notice it all over lol. I'm not a super light blonde, more like a honey, and I have not experienced my hair being stained purple after using it.

Works!
I have bought several different brands of purple hair mask and not one of them have made one whit of difference on my brassy hair, no matter how long I left them on (up to 90 minutes!) I'm glad I didn't leave this one on that long. After 15 minutes I noticed a distinctly ashier tone to my hair. 90 minutes would probably have made me pretty purple! It's also nicely conditioning. This makes it the best bang for your buck!

Holy Grail!
I am really fussy when it comes to hair products, especially purple toning products.I get my hair highlighted every 8 weeks or so and to say that I can't stand when my ash blonde highlights turn brassy is an understatement. I am so incredibly greatful for purple products, but unfournately they are not crated equal. Some might look nice and dark in the container, but make no difference on your color at all. Others will quell the brassy tones, but wreak havoc with your hair (drying it out, making it heavy/limp, etc). So, yeah...I'm fussy. And, I don't mind paying a premium for good products either (as long as they are quality and deliver positive results across the board). My interest was peaked when I saw this mask and I thought it was a pretty great deal too ($22), so I gave it a shot.I should mention that I don't use this as a mask. Instead I use it like a regular conditioner. I wash my hair, rinse and squeeze my hair as dry as I possibly can. I'll grab a scoop of this (roughly the size of a walnut for my mid back length- super THICK but fine hair) and work it through with my hands and fingers, as even as I can. I have no issues working it through. This formula is nice and thick (if I did use it as a mask, it definitely wouldn't drip!), but it isn't sticky or glue like. It has great slip but doesn't feel greasy or heavy. I easily finger comb this through my tangle prone, terribly knotted, fine hair and when I have worked it through the bulk of the knots, I grab a shower brush and brush this through twice- first time starting at the ends and when it's nice and smooth then I glide the brush through root to ends. Before any hair experts start cringing- I have to do this will all of my conditioners in the shower. If I didn't, I would probably be bald due to ripping all my hair out after getting out of the shower with all the tangles! Anyways, the whole process takes maybe 5 minutes, so that's how long this stays on.I can always tell if a purple product will deliver results before even seeing my hair, just by looking at my hands. If my nails and cuticles are stained purple, the product will neutralize the brass. Even my hairdresser (who knows his stuff!!) says that's a sign that the product is effective. When I know they work like that, I do use hospital gloves for this process and those gloves are needed when I use this!As far as this staining my tub though- I do see drops of product that fall or spray out (during brushing) against my white marble floor. I even have gotten product in the white grout of my tiles, but I have never had this 'stain' any part of my bathroom or any other part of my skin besides cuticles and nails- not even a shadow of a purple hue.As a conditioner, this works GREAT!It helps me with tangles, it's actually quite hydrating (not drying at all!), and it doesn't weigh my hair down one bit. My hair has bounce, shine and is full of life after using this.As a toning product- AMAZING!This stuff works SO WELL!!! Almost a bit too well actually! It 100% gets rid of every last bit of brass or orange in my hair, restoring the ash blonde color that I love and pay good money for. If I leave this in too long (maybe shave after I brush it through) or use it in combo with a good purple shampoo, it will turn my ash more to platinum or white, but ill take that over brass any day!I really LOVE this formula, have continued to buy it and will continue to buy it too.It is super affordable, takes care of the unwanted color AND is actually GOOD for my fair too. Oh, and it has a very pleasant scent. Nothing that's overly artificial or migraine inducing and it doesn't smell like granny perfume. For me, it doesn't get any better.I do recommend this, but I think there is a bit of trial and error to see what duration of time you leave this in for works best for you. I think that this would be EXCEPTIONAL for those who are pure platinum or fully white. Considering how this can pull my brassy ash almost there, it has got to get every last bit of dinge or yellow out of lighter locks.
