A little challenging for first time Gunpla Builders, but good training!
This thing looks killer!I got this because my girlfriend wanted to get into Gunpla after seeing my collection and watching me build a couple different grade kits, and picked out this neat little kit when we were trying to find one she liked. I wanted her to start off with a high grade because of their level of difficulty, but this one had a few fiddly bits that were a little annoying and needed glueing (the top piece armor plates that connect to the shoulders and cover the part of the chest, and loose pegs on the waist). Maybe not the kit I would start someone into Gunpla with, unless they have prior modeling knowledge, knowing what I do know about it.That aside, Bandai has made strides in their undergating over the years, and while most of these runners are from the older Exia Amazing HGBF kit, they're still done great, and she was able to make quick work of all the nubs and cleaned them up really well. She did great work and made this kit look great. Now she's hooked, and has already completed an RG Astray Red Frame and wants the MG Shin Musha next. 🤩🤩

Impressive build and interesting colors
I like that the dark matter is a bit sturdy because the joints and legs won't fall off of it like most gunpla model kits sometimes tend to do and that's a bit annoying. The package came on time, when I was done building it together I felt how amazed on how cool it look. So I would say it's worth building if you like it.

Gunpla boxes are supposed to arrive in flawless condition…
The media could not be loaded. Product was great. Seller’s choice of shipping and packaging was not. Box came completely wrecked, as it was placed in nothing but a bag. Part of collecting and building gunpla is keeping and hoarding all the boxes, and that means keeping them in perfect condition. I legitimately cannot imagine putting a gunpla box in a bag for packaging. But that’s what happened.

It's beautiful!
This is a pretty cool looking kit, though it's not without its flaws. Most notably the "rib cage"-like armor pops off the ball socket joint it's attached to, it's not a huge problem, more of an annoyance than anything.Cons:-There are some parts that are loose and can pop off easily. Some can be fixed with glue (those foot spikes for example), and some cannot (the rib cage I mentioned earlier).-The backpack can be large and cumbersome to pose at times, I've spent more time trying to keep it out of the way than I have actually posing the model itself.-The kit uses polycaps rather sparingly, which leads to a few areas being stubborn when posing.-Aside from swiveling at the waist, there is almost not pose-ability in the upper torsoPros:-Even without paint, this kit looks great. If you decide to use the provided stickers you only really need to use the one for the eyes to make it look good. Of course, a bit of paneling never hurt either!-Despite the lack of polycaps making the kit difficult to pose, this also means that it's rather sturdy too. The swords can be kind of heavy, yet only the wrists really give way to their weight.-Comes with some nice extra hands, weapons, and other alternate partsAll in all, I think it's a really great kit. I'm usually wary of buying kits from or derived from the Gundam 00 series since the kits feel like they are made from a cheaper plastic that the HGUC kits, but this is definitely not the case for the Gundam Exia Dark Matter.

By far my favorite model yet
Really great model. Ive only been collecting gundams for about 3 weeks and already have 7 RG and HG kits with one MG, I bought the amazing exia at a hobby store and since I got it its been my favorite. When I found the dark matter exia I bought it with out hesitation and I am really satified with results. Simple model that looks amazing even if it is only an HG model. If your new to gundams this would be a great first kit took only over two hours to build.

Some issues, nothing deal breaking.
Wow did it take a while to build this. Parts are mostly durrable and stable when assembling. Word of caution, ribs and shoe spikes have a tendency to fall off, recommend using glue on those parts. Also found the standard grip hands to hold the swords better than the angled hands designated in the instructions. Other than that I love the end result by far the best HG I've made thus far

but i prolly wouldn't spend more than 25 bucks on it honestly but overall it is a nice kit to have in the collection
Its an okay kit for being an HG model but some of the parts did feel flimsy and the swords and hands feel loose in certain positions... but i prolly wouldn't spend more than 25 bucks on it honestly but overall it is a nice kit to have in the collection... the only real thing that bugs me is the feet... it reminds me of christmas elves shoes hahahaha

super figure, can't stand
this model IS badass. definitely one of the better figures I got if you got anything to contrast with it like amazing exia, or star build strike then you need this figure and pose them together. also the kit gives you an option of face plate, you can choose the face that appeared in the show and promo pictures or you can choose a more classic look for it. the big problem with it though is that it CANNOT do any reliable standing poses because it's feet a so small, so I recommend buying a stand for the figure when you get it.
