Graphite is not just for pencils.
I bought this for my door lock, after it was jet washed by one of the neighbours, cleaning his car, causing the barrel lock to jam, and no longer accept the key (or at least with great difficulty, and “teasing”).After Removing the barrel, I noticed black sooty residue on it, it was factory applied graphite powder (I was initially going to use a silicone based lubricant).I purchased this bottle of graphite powder, and tried it out, removing the lock, (not necessary, but gave me a chance to clean the barrel casing), and oil the 5mm pin (bolt) that retained the barrel, started to rust (forced jet water can do that).I just "nipped" the nozzle with a pair of scissors, and then squeezed the bottle. The fine graphite powder easily squeezed out (squeeze lightly, or plenty shall spill), and into the key hole, most sat around the surface, then I applied a light coating onto the key, and with a few quick strokes, (Ooh Err Missus) of the lightly graphite coated key, the magic was performed, and VOILA! It worked like new.Now the caveat; the powder is very fine, and gets everywhere, easy enough to wash off, may be an issues with carpets, flooring, and other fixtures and fittings.Pros: i) multi usage (including zip fastenings, woodwork)ii) easy to applyiii) heat resistantiv) use on electronics components (it is electrically conductive)v) durablevi) affordable, low costCons: i) graphite can spoil finishing (discolour)ii) too much powder can be counter-productiveiii) can be messy, cover work surfaces, and wear glovesSummary; it does the job, and used correctly, you should not have any issues.

graphite lock lube - don't buy
This was advertised as a dry lock lubricant. The main ingredient listed turns out to be water. Also claims glucose and silicone as well as a bit of the wanted graphite. Do you really want sticky stuff in a lock? I sent it back unopened for a refund.
