Perfect size for my 2 year old twins
I sold my bugaboo stardust travel cribs to replace them with these for my 2 year old twins because of the larger size. We stayed in a hotel for a week and they transitioned from their crib to this seamlessly. The mattress is super comfortable and materials are so soft. Setting it up was easy although not as instant as the bugaboo was. My 2.5 year olds fit very comfortably in these and we plan to use them for at least another year since we plan on keeping them in a crib at home for as long as possible. I was tempted to try out the popular blow up toddler beds but really seemed best to keep them contained since that’s what they’re use to at home. I like that I also have the flexibility to continue to use it after they’re out of cribs because you can unzip a side wall. Build quality is great as well.

Love this play yard!
Super sleek and easy to assemble! The crib sheets for the play yard do not come with the purchase of the play yard. We just used a stretchy fitted sheet that works with his regular crib.

Love!
Plenty of room to roll around in. Easy to set up and take down.

It’s good
Overall it’s functional, modern, and sturdy. We like it and if it had a slightly plusher mattress and came with extra sheet I’d buy again and recommend. Not super soft or plush and it’s expensive to buy another cover but the whole thing is super breathable but make sure to take off the tags as those to me seemed like chocking hazard. The sheet itself is like a soft muslin but thin and breathable. I like the concept and it functions well. Please be aware though not to put against wall if you have base boards or ship lap! My daughter hit her head when she sat down in her crib because the netting doesn’t protect from the any sharper edges or wall because it is at an angle. As other reviewers mentioned. The feet part are difficult to use so personally we don’t use them and just put the sheet on like a normal mattress since ours child is over 1 and no longer as concerned about the mattress trapping her or something. Overall if it was maybe $180 or came with another sheet I’d recommend as an awesome travel play pen option

Finicky but oh so nice
Oh Newton. How I love you. And yet you challenge me. Nothing’s perfect though, right?Believe the comments (warnings?) about disassembly. They are real for most people. This crib is big and luxurious, the materials seem worth the money. And it WANTS to go together—assembly is a breeze, just unfold and pop open. Pat it lovingly and appreciate its quality. BUT woe unto those who assume they will be able to easily take it down on their first try. I watched the video on the Newton website several times, made mental notes, and set aside time for a test assembly-disassembly run prior to my trip. I cannot emphasize how thankful I am that I did this. The woman in the video must be super strong and/or a freak of nature, or practiced herself a million times before recording it. Because omg it is hard to break down if you are a female of normal strength. I pulled and tugged and tried so many angles to get each leg to collapse correctly. There is a sweet spot/angle that if you hit, it works. If you miss it…nothing you can do will help. I got it packed up, but it took around 15 minutes and I was sore for three days afterwards.I am happy to report that my second experience was successful and have to credit my trial run. It was a crazy morning rushing to get everyone out the door to the airport and managed to break it down and pack it up in 5 minutes. So it IS possible. But don’t think you’ll get it on your first try.Caveat: my husband is significantly stronger than me. He watched me sweat through my practice up-down session and was able to break it down easily on his first try. This crib is so nice. I don’t regret buying it. And we took it international through checked luggage without incident (it fits United’s size limits and is not considered oversize!). But save yourself a lot of misery and practice before you go somewhere with it.

MUST buy- skip the graco small pack and plays!
This is EFFING essential for our family! We had a sensitive sleeper and she actually prefers this to her newton mattress in her crib because it’s wider! Is the bag a bit large? Yeah- but the graco pack and play I was trying to use with a Hiccapop mattress was 2 bags of smaller but equal sizes. And she didn’t sleep well in the graco because of the size and droop! My complaint is only that it’s pretty far down to lay baby, and the zipper is a little loud if you set them in it the other way, but it’s all very worth it. I’m mad I paid for separate sheets and washed them before realizing this comes with one sheet. I do wish I could have a non muslin option.

Love it!!!
I went into this purchase knowing the 2023 would be a little more difficult to collapse, but we do not need to collapse often. I could see it being a pain if you needed to take down more frequently. This mostly stays up in our living area to give baby a safe play place. Overall I love it.Pros:Good quality material used.Love the large opening on the side.So much play space for little ones and can grow with our child. Finally a playpen mattress that offers comfort and isn’t just a thin piece of cardboard.Cons:More effort to collapseProbably not the one for travel
