Better than i expected. Well done Nintendo
Been in 2 minds for ages on this and saw it for £15 in the Black Friday sale and thought id get it for my sons Xmas prezzie.Always had the impression of "It's just cardboard" but having now built it with my son and used it I can honestly say its way more than that. The building process is what makes this... Once you insert the game card into the switch you are presented with instructions on how to build the robot kit. The instructions are so well designed and easy to follow. My son who's 7 was doing most of the work with ease and often completed steps before the instructions would show.We built this over 2 days, totalling about 3-4 hours and that's 3-4 enjoyable hours. The game experience is fun, flip the visor down and you get transported into a first-person view while putting the visor up switches back to a 3rd person view and kneeling down, turns you into a robot batmobile style car... Awesome!.The hand and feet control works great, having the ability to punch and see the robot break down building is very immersive for kids and having to walk provides a good little workout. The longevity of the gaming experience remains to be seen but so far this is an awesome piece of kit, great idea and definitely worth the money spent! Well done Nintendo for being so creative and doing a brilliant job of bringing this experience together. If I had paid £30 for this I would be completely satisfied. The launch price not so much purely on the longevity and repetitiveness of the gaming experience.Anytime this is on offer I suggest you grab it. It won't disappoint!

Simply Genius !!!!
Unlike other games, this one actually makes the kids get up and do some movement rather than sitting on the Sofa....Would Highly recommend it. The instructions to build are simple and really easy to follow. My son who is 10, did it by himself with minimum input from me. Some parts were a bit tricky, but still a fantastic piece of kit. Game play is awesome too. Lot's of different missions to carry out. 10/10, or 5 Stars.

Great idea
I bought this for my nephews birthday. It’s brilliant! The kids build the bits out of the box, put their controllers in it and then wear it. With pully systems and buttons their actions are reflected on the screen. I would have given this a full 5 stars but the game they get is limited so longevity may be a little short. As a little project to help built it it’s a nice bonding moment especially if your kids are gaming obsessed. Also keeps them active similar to wii games.

You want it, you know you do (but should you get it?).
Ok, you’re intrigued. This looks like it could be something remarkable, a game changer in the crowded home entertainment market, but... it’s £60 for a box of cardboard bits, is it really worth it? Well, it’s a challenging build. I’m a forty something DT teacher and it took me a good few hours to construct without help from children. It was bought for a number of youth groups to access, cubs up first. They LOVED it. The five minute destroy all you can game is perfect for 5 minute turns. I was also impressed by the engineering that goes into this, each stage gives your inner geek a warm glow so consumate is the design. Downsides? If you are adjusting the pack for a queue or exciting youngsters you will experience closer proximity to small sweaty feet than most would prefer. On a serious note nobody would be able to use this on their own, you need a wing man to help you into the kit and push joy con buttons and such. Most exciting and innovative game development since the Wi.

It 's a great Father and Son Project
Liked the concept. And it's very high quality cardboard components. It's not difficult to put together, and it's easy to follow instructions. Excellent.Limited 'after play' with my son, who gets easily bored after a few Robot challenges. let's face it, it's competing with Super Mario and Animal Crossing ....So, for physical build and play, doing something constructive together thumbs up. And it works well.My son is six. Still emerging from the clumsy stage, of knots, strings, folding cardboard and sticking on stickers :)But we managed by doing the build project over a few day. There are plenty of lessons about patience, effort and focus :)

Building it is fun but the game itself is rather boring
I bought both this and and the Vehicle kit when they were on sale for £14.99 before Christmas. My children definitely enjoyed the Vehicle kit a lot more. The Robot game is a bit pointless, all you do is walking around smashing things. They were bored pretty quickly. There’s also a lot of adjustments you need to make to the setup based on the childs height, otherwise it doesn’t work properly. If more than one child of different height will be using it be prepared to have to make adjustments each time which is rather annoying. So in the end this provided several hours of enjoyment during the building part, but I can’t see that this will be used often (if at all) going forward. It’s also quite bulky to store. I think I got my money’s worth but given the choice go for the vehicle kit.

Surprisingly good
I had expected this to be a bit of a waste of money - £55 for a game and some cardboard. In actual fact it was pretty damn good. My son spent 2 days (on and off) building the robot which is comparable to building some lego sets. It's actually quite complex. The instructions are excellent and fun to go through (the switch takes you through the build interactively). The game itself is ok - my son seems to enjoy it. The robot backpack and visor are relatively strong when completed so should last if we take care of it.

active for kids
Very exciting and active toy for kids. It takes patience and planning to build it to, which help them grow the mind. We loved it.
