Absolutely worth every penny and can charge from the mains. Really pleased.

Much more effective than my previous Harrier battery fencer which seemed to give as much deterrent zap as an electric toothbrush. The price put me off at first, but I was persuaded by the experience of a livery yard friend who had bought TWO she rated them so much, and assured me that this solar powered, easy peasy to use fencer was the best zapper to avoid any chance of my precious 23-year-old, laminitis risk Cushings mare from ever daring to broach her boundary - and she was right. Peace of mind, and no need to replace batteries, so a great investment.

I planted a new hedge this spring, and with this around it the deer have been kept at bay; without this the new plants would have been decimated, even with tree-guards in place. The deer just wrench them off. Now, with this, they bugger off instead! The solar unit has kept it charged and active all year so far, despite the dismal weather... Very happy.

I have a family of foxes that have taken over the lower lawn. They have built a nice den in the middle of it, turning it into a mini mountain. The vegetable plot was getting subject to a lot of digging and there was no way the plants would survive. I used this to fence off the plot and it has been effective at doing that. With all the dry weather recently it does not give much of a shock as the ground is acting like a rather poor earth. When the ground was wet it gave enough of a shock to deter the foxes. They have remembered this and kept away. The local cats though have worked out if the jump through between the wires they do not get a shock as they are not touching ground. Fortunately this do little damage. In the end it was money well spent even though the drought has meant the vegetable plot looks a bit of a disaster area.

Used for paddock where my horses kept getting out . Since I put the solar energiser on I’ve had no breakouts . Great product only charged once and still working would buy again without hesitation

This energiser is great! It's easy to use and lugging heavy batteries around each time you move it or having to worry about charging them. It gives a good strong zap even through the winter. I'm about to get my second one and would highly recommend.

It was definitely worth spending a little bit more than I planned to get this model. It came with charge in the unit so worked from the moment it was set up, horses touched it straight away thinking they could walk through the fence, BUT their new friend ZAP said NO! I now have no worries about finding ponies in paddocks they shouldn't be in.
