This garden flag stand has withstood high winds, heavy rain, & wet snow. While at times it tilts a bit, it's usually due to soggy soil from heavy rains & high winds, and it's very easy to set this garden flag stand erect again. I love the curlicues at both ends of the top horizontal bar; not only are they decorative, but they help keep the flag from flying off in high winds. There's also a clip that attaches to the bottom of the garden flag to help it hang straight and not fly away. The clip is a bit difficult to manipulate--it's hard to open--but it holds tight to the flag. Be sure to place the clip below the joint of the two sections of pole. At times the pole itself rotates slightly--again in high winds--but that happens with just about every garden flag holder and is easy to set right. This one is sturdy and rust-proof. I would definitely purchase this garden flag stand again. A very good value!

This is a very good garden flag holder. The one issue I have is the Velcro strip that holds the clip. It is very difficult to attach (and doesn’t attach to the post very tightly) - when windy, it doesn’t hold well and the flag gets tangled up at the top of the holder. I replaced the Velcro with a zip tie and cut off the excess. Now the clip holds tightly to the post and my flag always hangs correctly.
